Always impresses me how good he is at reacting to ex fireballs, I think he just stares at the meter when he expects it.

Man, Cody is like the exact thing Infiltration SHOULDN’T play from a standpoint of infiltrations habits.
Slow walk speed/Low mobility - that is why is dashing forward all the time, he is so used to Akuma/Gouken/Ryu’s walk speed. If you notice when he plays Hakan he dashes a lot too and does fMP a lot to get around the screen as well as slides.
crLK leads to nothing in terms of chaining/linking and LP CU is unsafe - You see this come up a lot in that match. Infiltration is fairly known for his love of the crouch tech, it played a big part in his matches vs PR Rog at EVO this year.
Badstone not really an effective tool for zoning or covering movement or pressuring like Ryu/Akuma/Gouken’s fireballs due to both slow startup and the fast speed of the fireball flight meaning it is gone before Cody can move again usually. - We all know how much infiltration loves his air fireball as Akuma and in general loves fireballs period.
Slow wake up options (E.G. No DP or SPD. Infiltration doesn’t tend to get baited that often but he has been known to go for the DP if the opponent pressures too hard.)
I mean, Cody doesn’t really get rewarded for any of the things infiltration likes to do except for tic throws from crLP. Other 'n that it doesn’t seem like a character that is a good fit for Infiltration.
Something I messed around with in training mode, use at your own risk!
I imagine you can use this similarly on a couple of other characters, maybe viper but it’d be even more risky.

Just what I was thinking.
Found an unusual 5 frame safe jump setup recently, not sure how viable it is…
Crack kick > Ex ruffian > Dash x2 > Cr.MK > NJ.HP
Havn’t tested against every characters, but seems to work on Fei, Cammy and Sagat so far.
Tried it on Seth and I think he juggles differently, making the setup unsafe to his dp, tried it on Blanka also and found it very hard to get the ex ruffian to connect, not sure if it’s possible.

Didn’t know you could connect U2 off cr.fierce using the knife with or without counter hit. The knife is pretty cool.
Don’t know how to properly confirm this but if you crouch tech against ryu with cr.mp and he tries to frame trap you with EX tatsu you beat it on startup and sometimes get a counter hit juggle state and you can mix it up with an overhead. I’m not sure if this is known yet. I just tested it with ryu doing jab jab ex tatsu with cody in the corner. Kinda hard to test though

He tells me in can block every unblockable , do you know how to deal with it ? I’ve tried but without success
Unblockables aren’t really unblockable, just really really difficult to block.
I’ve heard about a few methods though never bothered to test them to help against unblockables.
-Hold neutral till the very last moment and then block back.
-Block with a motion like a quarter or half circle.
Don’t quote me on this though.
Latif i think made a few videos on his YT channel that explaines unblockables and how to counter them.
Using Cody his focus for escaping unblockables is a no go, his bad backash becomes even worse by using a focus…
There is someting going on when a character wakes up and when you already hold a direction that causes unblockables.
Decided to expand on my old video of me beating up on Abel to show who all sHP - bMP works on. The list is surprisingly large.
Honda, Makoto, Gouken, Yun, Dhalsim, Sagat, Cody, Guy, Yang, Gief, Rufus, El Fuerte, THawk, Fei, Adon, Deejay all work. Guile only works if you hit him with sHP while he is crouching. Abel and Dudley not only work but you can actually do sHP - bMP - crMP - HK Ruffian and it combos allowing you to do extended meterless corner combos by ending it with a MK Ruffian or EX Criminal Upper without an FADC.
I actually think this is viable in most of these match ups. There is no setup required as sHP forces standing, it works mid screen and in the corner, and it does damage comparable to Cody’s BEST combo. sHP - BMP - crMP - MK Ruffian = 319 damage while Cody’s most damaging combo of f+MP - sMP - crHP - HP Criminal Upper is 322 damage.
Nice. The problem with trying to use b.mp in combos is that if you mistime it the move whiffs completely, which is obviously not preferable to a normal dropped link where at least your opponent can be kept in blockstun or inadvertently frame-trapped (assuming they’re not mashing out a reversal)
