The first part of the thread contains the concepts and the second part contains the match up videos. All characters have the number of videos contained inside their spoiler above the box. I’m hoping to be able to update this at least once a week.

I included the Ultra used by the Cody player for all the videos to make it easier to find a video relevant to your needs. When posting a video it would help a lot with the updates if you indicated whether the video was for match up purposes or to show a concept. Also, if you could include the Ultra used next to the match up posts that would be helpful.

Ahaha that combo at the end was great. A question about going through the psycho crusher. Can a regular bingo make it through the EX Version or only EX bingo? Also do you think it is possible to add in a clip to the video showing when sliding MK beats psycho crusher and when it loses, like the timing needed?

Open question everyone, is there any way to turn the bingo into an option select that only activates if bison does a psycho crusher?

normal bingo goes thru it aswell.

c.mk stuffs crusher or will trade if you slide allready (aka your active frames take place).

OS bingo against crusher isn’t possible in the way you want it, besides on wakeup. also i dont see why you would want it anyway. Unless you would die tru chip dmg, takin the crusher and block it to punish it afterwards seems like a better idea then dodging it.

bingo or exzonk works… its just that dictator has to still be going forward or the bingo is going to lose invulnerability while the crusher is slowing/stopping & cody gets hit.

so essentially its easier(not reaction wise, but for the bingo to pass thru) against ex psychocrusher since it moves faster & will more than likely go further behind the bingo

& nah i dont generally try to c.mk psychocrusher… so i dont have any in replays :sweat:

but i do have a few examples of knifadc i might throw into a short vid :rofl:

Sometimes it’s nice to let your opponent you might have more options to deal with things than he thinks.

Thanks for this thread, it’s really helped put some things into focus that I need to work on. I played a ton of SF2 back in the day, and err, got incarcerated just after the The new Challengers. So coming into SSFIV has been an especially steep learning curve (I was still trying to throw with HP or HK lol), and the dedication you guys have in putting these threads together has made a world of difference. Hi, don’t know if it’s worth a post.
But if you haven’t picked up the knife during the match yet and you land U2.
When the U2 is finished you will always be directly above your knife and it’s a good time to pick it up if you want.

LOL !? Is this for real, everytime? Are you sure that the knife “teleports” to Cody’s feet?
Because if you do the ultra (or focus, or grab), you will drop the knife anyway, and that sure would make sense. I can’t test it at the moment.

Edit: I really doubt it, i think it won’t be true.

He’s saying that after you land the ultra, when you recover, Cody always ends up in the middle of the stage, conveniently where the knife is so you can pick it up without interruption from the opponent.

The knife starts in the middle of the map, and this is the place where cody ends after the ultra, so the knife will be there if you didn’t pick it before.
