Heroes of the Storm: Blizzard's All Star MOBA for people who hate MOBA's

Hey about Diablo, Lightning Breath or Apocalypse? Why?

Also when leveling the free to use heroes of the week, are those levels gained permanent? So the next time they rotate in, or if I purchase later they are at the level I got them to at?

Both are viable, use apocalypse if you can combo it with void prison or maw

And yes to the second part

heres a funny video showing apocalypse + void prison

Just started playing HOTS and have been randoming Azmodan for my last 5-6 games. Feels pretty good to skillshot people to death who try to run off. Is it worth buffing your demon warriors though? They don’t seem to be good aside from lane pushing since the DOT just gets outscaled by hero health gained per level.

Just reached level 10 and got enough gold to unlock Nova. Man HOTS is a really refreshing take on mobas. Loving it so far.

With azmo, no I wouldn’t buff demon warriors, they push fine as is. Take the q buff to increase damage with each kill, the increased wind up time and dot, the one that buffs minions around the general of hell, black hole, and the one you can move with the e. Solid build.

Check hotslogs.com to see the most successful builds with each hero, complete with winrate

Holy crap man… Brightwing+Nova+Tychus= instant hero slayers. That polymorph+Snipe+OverKill combo is cray cray.

Well with a 3 person combo, you’d better hope so because your other teammates are losing 2v4 lol

Where are Arthas and Thrall now?

Arthas is probably bottom warrior, and thrall is probably bottom assassin. Or at least close to it. Arthas at least beats out stitches, and can work good for ganks. Thrall… is just a mess. He was super OP with his windfury build, and now that is nerfed, he has like nothing that makes him good. He should be good for sustain like illidan, but hes just not.

actually according to hotslogs, etc and diablo have less winrate than arthas, and thrall beats out tychus and valla… super suprising. This is heroes league though, not quick match, so you can pick the hero when its “safer” to do so with the right team comps

Kael’Thas is my boo <3

That kind of makes it sound like Tychus is ass now? Have things really changed that much?

That stat kind of confused me as well, I think theres just been so many good assassins that tychus has kinda fallen out of power. Once he lost the second lifebar on odin, he’s had a hard time recovering

Just got level 10 last night which activated a 7 day stim pack. So what is the most efficient best way to build up gold and experience using this?

Level each free hero to 5, and any hero you own to 5, for the 500 gold. It goes fast with the stimpack and the holiday bonus now.

Also make sure to group with friends for the bonus xp. I have most of my heroes to like level 6 now; I bought uther and illidan this week and have been trying to learn them. Illidan is good, but hes harder to play than he seems at first. And uther is probably the hardest hero I’ve played, he gets like 4 extra hotkeys (shield, cleanse, shrink ray, and that new ability that makes your next spell lower the cooldown by 10), so you always have to pay attention. I divine shielded a guy about to get hit with Pyroblast and saved him, felt epic.

Yeah I actually needed to keybind 1-4 to mouse buttons because of Uther’s abilities.

Why is uther listed as easy to use then?

Because you don’t have to build him with all the crazy hotkeys, its just thats when he’s at his best. You can not use cleanse, the shield, or shrink ray and focus just on healing and stuns and be okay.

Also, that “easy to use” was true before all his changes. Think of him like 3s Yun, yeah learning his moves is easy, but kara palming in the corner takes practice.

Wow. Yeah he does have a lot of stuff, playing him now. Though I don’t have much to compare to, I’ve played 6 other heroes so far and haven’t mastered anyone obviously.

Anyways the game has grabbed me, it is a ton of fun now that I understand the game better. I played my first quick match yesterday and that is really intense and very different from co op…though I guess before level 4 I wouldn’t want to handicap my team.

So I’m trying out Uther currently. Have already leveled up (to 5) Diablo, ECT, Falstad, Tyrael, Jaina, and Reghar.

I really liked Reghar a lot, how he can shift from wolf to person so quickly and efficiently. The totems and strategic placement of them. My favorite so far. I also liked Jaina mostly cause of water elemental and water mute, that is really cool.
