I’ve been playing the game since the patch that brought in Anubarak and Azmodan and in 9 months the only price changes I’ve seen are Anub 10k->4k for the reason I mentioned, and Stitches 10k->7k. I’m hoarding gold atm but I really hope after the official launch they’ll make the heroes cheaper.
Other than that I think some heroes will never drop below 10k. This includes super popular characters, and “expert” characters with unique mechanics like Abathur, Lost Vikings and probably even Brightwing.
as long as Diablo keeps telling people SEE YOU IN HELL he’ll remain the best tank
the changes aren’t very bad at all, just tones down the stuff that was really out of line before (his mad health regen, and the healing boost trait which is way too strong on every hero that still has it) and frees you up to spec him into a CC machine.
and he still has the void prison apocalypse wombo combo.
need to buy Jaina and Kael. these two seem way too pivotal to draft to leave them up to randoms. so done picking tanks and supports
Last week. Hes fun. Hes such a glass cannon though, no escape until level 20 with blink. His tornado can really help escape somewhat though, but if you get ganked/stunned its over.
I really, really, really like the mana shield talent at 16 (gains shield equal to his mana) to survive, but that same tier has the one that applies living bomb with flame strikes, and that does so much damage especially with the living bomb spreads on explosion and living bomb deals more damage synergy, its hard to take it
They pop up on a daily basis but you can stack up to 3 and do several at once if they overlap. This means 3 games every 3 days. It’s kinda like Hearthstone but overall faster since you don’t have to win, and you can also do quick 15 min games vs AI.
Alright this is likely a game that me and my gf can play when we’re bored. We both got starter pack and I got Jaina because I was a fan of Wotlk Frost mage and jesus does she deliver. She still got those shatter combos and I swear sometime it feels like I’m playing WoW on low level bgs with twinked out characters vs your average player with the damage she’s doing. The range on frost bolt is amazing.
Muradin is cool too, I’m generally using the thunderclap builds. My gf likes Malfurion and the heals/innervate and occasional well timed root is cool, though he definitely seems position heavy aside from miss roots and you die. She’s looking at Uther and Rehgar. Recommended her Muradin as well since his stuns are neat.
Well I just waited for official release, ie today. I wonder why they make you have to level up to 6 to even get daily quests. How long does it take to get there?
if the first thing you saw when you started the game was “play 3 games as a warrior - 300g” someone would likely misinterpret it as blizzard is trying to force you to play warriors
it takes like less than 5 games if you win them all and have a ‘friend’ for +50% xp anyway
Only quests I ever see in my three months has been: play three games as support/specialist/assassin.
I’ve gotten play two games as a WC character twice. Haven’t even seen any of the others.
While I’m not complaining about the 300g, I have no incentive to use a lot of my Warriors that I have or specific game people because of it. Think my highest level warrior of the three I own is ETC at 3.
Specialist is the most boring, as the interesting ones are high gold and all I have to complete it is Azmodan. He can push a lane really well but that’s about it.
Also Malfurion needs something, his root isn’t that amazing and doesn’t hold them long, his walk speed is so slow he gets kited fairly easily, and if forced to build damage doesn’t do that at all. His heal and innervate are good but that’s about it.
Most of my Malf time is spent focusing on heals and praying my team can tank and deal damage while avoiding anyone with a range attack and slow. That is if they don’t designate me to hold a lane by myself for some reason as even high level he struggles to wipe creeps.
Very frustrating as he should have more potential then hitting Q off CD all the time, just a longer stun duration would be nice and make him more viable along with a little more speed than a waddle.
I do think he could use a pass on his talents for tuning, and give him some more interesting things. I used to run a moonkin build that was fun but with all the new mages running around theres no point in going for damage builds.
Downloaded it over the weekend and I have to say, the game is growing on me which is weird; I hated LoL/Dota but this game I dig. After watching Mad Max Fury Road, naturally I scoop E.T.C. hero. The game is fun to play and matches doesn’t last that long.
Willy, do people think that Diablo’s overhaul was a nerf or buff or a bit of both?
I hadn’t played for a good 6 months, so I got wrecked when I started playing again.
I don’t like it. Yet he is the only guy I have a master skin with. sigh.
Hes still good, but he’s not far and away best tank like he was when it was ETC and him on top. ETC I think was hit harder with the nerf bat.
Off the top of my head, I’d say
Muradin
Anubarak
Diablo
are top 3 tanks in that order… and I think Johanna might take the top spot. Diablo is very much viable, I think nearly every hero is viable.
However, things change fast. Stitches was top tier tank, got overnerfed, now has a 40% win rate (lowest of any hero! )
Best moment from playing Johanna yesterday, we were fighting an ETC. He has mosh pit, and starts making his way towards us. My spider sense tingles, and I pop iron skin (making me unstoppable) just before he hits mosh pit. Then as he dances, and my team is forced to dance, I am free to kill ETC during his concert.
What is the card back? Level 12? Not too long; maybe a day or so of playing if you are playing with friends. You get bonus xp for playing with friends, plus theres bonus xp right now (25% now, 50% next week, 100% the week after) so if you wait a week or so, you can get it done in a day easy
