Help With Photoshop, Etc

I will need this in the upcoming months when I decide to take up and learn photoshop.

I feel like being awesome and making AV’s for nigga’s. Plus it’ll give Sas and Str[e]ak a break. lol.

i agree with your choice of art, a “Not Found, Error 404” page stick would be top tier

unless youre talking about the konata banner pic, which would also be cool. lucky star sticks are inherently theft proof too!

Yeah, that link is no longer valid. But I don’t understand what you mean by squished. If you’re able to take a printscreen of what you have, we might be able to help you out better.

The link should work now. The person that was using photoshop for me doesnt understand how to get me a picture of the screen. Anyways, If someone had the time to pop that picture into the hrap 2 layout, minus the turbo switches box, Id be grateful.

To explain the squishing, if you take a super high res picture and just size it down and down and down it looks muddled and bad. Thats whats happening when I put it in the template.

It looks muddled yet it was done in Photoshop?

Hmm…interesting. If you use the Transform command [Ctrl+T on PC], you can size it down and it should retain great image quality.

Use CTRL+T, grab one of the corners of the Transform box that appears on the image, hold down SHIFT [this keeps thing proportionate to the original] and then downsize.

If you can link to the HRAP2 template, I’ll see if I can do something for you. Preferably hosted on a Image Site [as listed above], as I don’t want to download a template and unzip on my computer.

Heres the thread where I got the template.

http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=164245

It does have to be downloaded but it just downloads a .psd file. No unzipping or anything. Thanks for the help

Here’s one with and without the lines. If you want the original size [which was 200dpi], just lemme know. I’ll need to find a hosting site that can support up to 3.xx MB images though.

Note: You said no turbo box, which worked great or else her head would’ve been chopped or some bad clone stamping would’ve occurred to cover up that blank space. Oh yeah, I stamped out her name too. STOMP!

You are awesome:woot::woot::woot:

Will it print to scale at staples?

That one I don’t know about. Gonna have to ask makstaks [the person who made the HRAP template] if you’ll need the 200dpi or if those images will work.

In makstaks post it was stated it’s exact to scale, so I’m guessing you might need the 200dpi version [the HUGE ASS version]. If that’s the case, I’ll try to find a hosting site for the image.

Who got dat CS4?

I do. =D

Ballin’! I like that visual style you’re using as well [your OS visual style].

But the question for me is…“Does it have ImageReady or at least be able to open .GIF files without compressing them into one layer?”

Note: Go Blue Steela!

thanks for all your help. Cant wait to get it finished :wgrin:

Unfortunately, it STILL doesn’t. So it’s STILL all the way back to Imageready CS2 just to fuck around with .gifs, which I might start doing in the future…=D

what dpi should i work with, if i want good quality on an arcade stick artwork?

See Jester 718SF3

I used a free program called GIMP to make that. It is almost identical to photoshop, and works perfectly. There are plenty of advanced tools to make anyone looking for image editing software to go crazy with.

that gif needs to come with an epilepsy warning

I’m actually thinking of making a black and white seizure avatar for the hell of it.

300 dpi is standard magazine printing quality. that’s what I would recommend.

thanks

I was bored and made a animated gif of myself for an avatar, but when I upload it its way smaller and the quality is messed up

When I uploaded it to Image Shack and used the URL it says it was too big
