i don’t know what the exact file size for non-prem is anymore either (the people who should know are non-prem members!), but i usually go with 19.5 kb as the max file size limit.
if i remember correctly, max file size limit for premium members should be 48.8 kb. i think someone mentioned that the file size limits changed, but i don’t think they have since the last forum update.
I’m using the Trial version of CS4 atm, and today i tried to use it but i cant open any files.
i open the program, if i try to open a new or an old image it just does nothing, but doesn’t crash or something like that. just nothing happens
My guess for a possible solution would be to reinstall it. If it still doesn’t work after that, then I am not entirely sure… could be conflicting with other software. Possibly inadequate hardware and/or possibly a problem with the actual file.
Edit. Hmm… I am not positive as I’ve not yet tried CS4… If I am reading correctly, it’s NOT backwards compatible?! I hope I am wrong.
I’m using CS4 as well, and to my surprise, I find that “Extract” was removed. I found the plugin file and installed it though.
But uh, I was wondering if anyone here can give me tips on other methods of extracting with CS4. Picture I’m extracting has hair, and some blurry parts. I actually got fed up with “extract” and starting using the eraser tool.
 It was the Sentinel (non-prem) 'tut.
Im gonna give the juggernaut one a shot. I think my problem was all the layers and the brush hardness. Most of my problems ive noticed revolve around brushes and vevtor brushes etc.
It also seems as though doing something like Properties will not tell you. Maybe it will, I did not test it as i’m on my Mac. But, I made a 500x500px 72 dpi image with a simple gradient. Saved one as None and the other as Interlaced. The result is a slightly higher increase in file size.
Guess my only concern is why do you need to know?
Really, from what I have gathered is that Interlaced is more for web application as it renders different resolutions which seems to help support different browser speeds. So I believe that whatever PNG you have should work the same in Photoshop.
I was curious whether MAME outputs interlaced or non-interlaced. Gens outputs in BMP so i wanted to resave it as PNG and just wanted to be consistent. But i ended up going with non-interlaced so it’s cool.
Im bit shy asking people to do my stick art, so i decided to do my own…The thing is i have no idea how to use Gimp, poor man’s Photoshop or any other program…What im trying to do is make background with ink splatter all over like SFIV…Can somebody help me out…
Did some some Googling and found these. I’m not too familiar with GIMP [as I uninstalled after an hour of messing with it and opted for Photoshop instead. LoL], but I hope this helps you.
DeviantArt: Go here to get some custom splatter brushes for GIMP.
Installing Custom Brushes: Go here to read up on how to install the brushes you downloaded from DeviantArt.
If you seem to run across a problem somewhere, let us know. If push comes to shove, I’ll reinstall GIMP to help you out.
Wow i thought it was going to be hard but those custom brush makes it so easy…Im loving Gimp sure as hell beats MS paint…Now i can make my own art without begging!
