Sup uso? Thanks for keepin’ the thread going. Yeah, moved to SLC, hence my absence. Got a neXtBOX, eh? Kefé. LoL.
As for tween, it works well for simple animations, like glowing text and shit, but keep it minimal, like 2-3 frames. Depending on the effects you use, Tweening will eat up your filesize. Gaussian comes to mind. The easiest method can also be the most tedious…manually.
But it depends on what you’re doing. Lemme know. And thanks for the babe’s name. Time to add to my PS3 HDD.
Speaking of which, IPS3 keyboard saddens me and my WPM skills.
I’m still really new to photoshop and I’m wondering, what is the best technique in photoshop to remove all the white off something complex like this :
I always have trouble when creating templates that have designs like this and I have to remove the white backgrounds from them. I use the Magic Wand in CS3/4 but, it doesn’t catch everything, and I have to find each and every single white spot and remove it. Is there a better way to do this?
I need the girl cut out of the background for a te theme. I lack the tools and the skills to do so. Therefore I am asking if someone can do it for me so that some of my other friends can help me make it into a theme.
I can’t remember who made the NWO avatars, I believe Savaii did. But I remember there was a “flashing screen” effect before the images would change. How exactly is that done?
For the flash effect, simply put a full white frame at 0 seconds in the animation and when it plays out, it’ll flash in an instant. If you got room and wanna dick around a bit, you can put
[WHITE][BLACK][WHITE] frames in a row at 0 seconds. Note you can use any color to create a seizure inducing effect. Ballin’.
Sorry to say, I don’t have an example on me [my computer still resides in California].
But I did make an avatar for str[e]ak that illustrates this well. It was of Guy, but he’s not wearing it at this time. If I find something during my SRK browsing at this moment, I’ll let you know.
What do you mean by ‘halo’? Polygonal Lasso tool with Feather assist is a good option vs just the plain ol’ regular Lasso tool. You don’t have to worry about getting messed up cuts from manual precision.
Or Pen Tool for maximum precision. Takes a moment to learn, but once you get it down you’ll be getting the sharpest, finest cuts you can get.
Hmmm. The best way I can describe a halo is like, say for example, if you use the feather option on the Lasso, it softens the edges of the cut. If you lasso out a darker image against a lighter background, there’s the slight “fuzziness” that’s visible from the cut, thus the dreaded “Halo” effect. I’ve tried the pen tool, but still getting it slightly.
You just to cut a little more on the inside of the subject rather than the outside, and don’t use a feather.
What I do is use the pen-tool to trace out a path around the subject, then make a new layer and fill that path a solid color. Set your shape layer below your image layer and create a clipping mask between the two. Now, you can paint on or erase parts of the shape and that will add and subtract to the final cut-out. It’s kind of like working in a mask, but I just prefer this a little more (you could do either). If you want a feather in some part, you can use the manual blur tool along the edge of your shape area, and that will create a feather.
Hi, I’m trying to make a fight stick background for my SE, but I am absolutely crap with photoshop. I’m trying to get a nice blend of a red/black background, but I am struggling like crazy. I’m trying to get a similar background to this Vega Photoshop tutorial I found, but the tutorial wasn’t too helpful as it seemed to miss a few steps here and there, and didn’t end up working for me (http://bit.ly/dmpEFl). Any insight or helpful links would be much appreciated.
Sorry for the newbie question, but I am desperate.
