I actually got some awesome assistance in the newbie section. It was much easier than expected, once somebody tossed me the correct template. Thanks anyways, man. Next time, I guess I’ll link images. I just hate to impose.
I’m sorry but I am not seeing the part where you need to use the burn tool. But, to answer, maybe the wrong layer is active?
@Scout: All good cuz. Glad you got it figured out.
When loading a youtube video into CS4, is it best to have in mpeg4 or quicktime mov?
^^
AVI works best for Photoshop CS4
Ok is it easier to resize Avi? I have my gif set in Mov but I’m having trouble resizing to SRK standards
quick question…
Exactly how do you do lighting effects? Say for example, if there’s Lighting in the pic you’re editing, how would you go about making said lighting blink or do some type of animation?
Let me see if I can find Aberz tutorial on that…
Are there any good tutorials on background creation? I’m asking not just for creating AV’s but for personal design stuff. Any help is appreciated.
I think it is difficult to write a tutorial on general background creation, therefore, I like to think of/research about my subject matter and see what kinds of backgrounds, textures, pictures, colors, lighting, shading etc would go with the theme, message, image I want to portray. As I have looked around for inspiration, I have found a couple of places that have tutorials on specific backgrounds, often times, I take their idea and put my own spin on it. I think this is a good way to make a background. Think of a basic idea and build on that with other people’s ideas mixed with your own. Let me know if I am way off the mark in answering your question.

How do you print out image from photoshop without pixelation using an inkjet printer?
Is the image high res? If you make a new photoshop file, and use the preset Letter size, copy your image onto it and see how small it actually is. When you print, it’s probably stretching the image quite a bit.
I don’t think it’s high resolulotion. It is set to 68 pixels per square inch. I don’t see a preset called Letter size. I am on CS3 if that helps?
Nevermind, I found the letter size preset. It is really small and is being stretched out.
Hehe, no prob. Yeah, printing size needs around 2000-3000px = p.
I’m crapping my pants right now. Thanks!!!
Yeah so um, I pretty much love you for this.
On another note, CS4 is blocking out a ton of options for me. Any idea why?
<3 :bgrin: Unsure why it would be blocking “options”…can you take a screenshot?

How would I go about animating this picture to where it would zoom in to Ibuki’s chin, then leg, then to Don, then to Hakan and finally ending with a closeup of Ibuki’s face?
I’m gonna make this my avatar for SRK, but I’m stuck as to how I would be able to go about doing this^
Thanks to anybody who helps
:EDIT:
This is a rough idea of what I have in my head right now.
Thanks for upping the screenshot. This is puzzling me though. My best guess is that the active layer could be locked or restricted in some way. Another possible thought to consider would be that the image mode may be limiting the options available (the image mode has stuff that looks like 8bit, RGB, indexed color and such) the normal settings that I use are 8 bit and RGB. Besides that, I wouldn’t know due to my limited experience. Hope this helps in any way.
