I’ve finally started getting 5 bars since the update last week. Also seem to land matches with greater ease.
It’s strange for me. I’ve gotten 5 bars with people from other states, but my friend that lives down the street and I only get 3…
my brother just got FIOS, so we see 5 bars every few searches.

Quite a few times. Although the only people I won’t play are the peeps with no-bars. I’ve had several 1-bar matches that are lag-free, which is weird. I’ve had 3-bar matches that were laggy has hell…o.0

That would explain why I’ve recently come across two 5-bar connections over the weekend.
I have no official source but people have tested it and found that reliable 4 bar connections (such as another 360/pS3 on the same network) instantly became 5 bar connections after the patch.
I saw enough of this to believe it with 99.9% certainty.
I’ve seen 1 green bar.
Before the patch I hadn’t seen a single one.
5 bar does exist i seen it quite a few times and i didnt feel any diffrence from 4 bars.
I played my bro who lives two cities away. He usually sits around 3 bars when he’s downloading. Yesterday, I guess he wasn’t downloading because he was at 5 bars. First time I’ve seen it.

Like twice. Ended up they live like a mile or so away from me.
I got a five bar connection against Orts_ earlier today. That was the first time I ever saw five bars too. We’re of course on the same island so I would expect to at least see four or five bar connections unless someone is downloading something. Most of the time I see four bars though.

ive seen 5 bars all over. especially now that champ mode is here. i personally have a green bar connection. when i get my 360 back (red ringed:annoy:) holla at me

I got a 4 bar connection with someone in Japan. That was outrageous.
Had never seen green bars before championship mode, now about 1/20 games is green for me. Maybe they improved the netcode in the update, or just changed below what ping shows as green. I live about 100 miles from london though so I guess it’s reasonable I should be having some low ping games.
I get 3-7 games a day with 5 bars. I live in southern Norway, so i have a lot of close cites from neighbor countries as well. Cant say i feel any major difference from a 3bar game to a 5bar game tho.
