Oddly enough, I’ve never seen any game with all five green connection bars… The highest I come in contact with is yellow… Do you have this same issue? Or is it simply my connection bringing me to these inferior beings. :sad:
I only ever see three bars. Then again I’m in Northern New Mexico so that may have something to do with it.
I guess you need a ping of <=10ms for 5 bars.
5 bars = myth.
Like the Sasquatch, Loch Ness Monster, and Chupacabra…the 5 bar match in SF4 is a myth for the ages.
We setup two 360s in the same building, both on cable modems with low ping and great bandwidth, and they were still producing 4 bar matches.

We did this and got 5 bars back the day Sf4 came out, as far as I know that’ll be the only way you get a 5 bar connection with someone.
Edit: Oops, we actually set them up on the same connection, not two different cable connections.
Oh right…yeah, if you did a traceroute, I’m sure you would see that your traffic was not going very far at all.
But to not even get 5 bars on two 360s in the same building…that made me :bluu:
I had a couple of 5 bar matches the day the game came out and then never saw it again.

5 bar doesnt exist. I tried playing my brother on the SAME network/router and still got 4 bar

ive seen about 3 or 4 people with 5 bar connects, i played them all it was amazingly smooth and lag free.
seriously, the last one was less than a week ago. but they were all scrubs pretty much
I get 5 bars with a couple local guys that are on the same isp as me. 50up/50down fiber optics, so that might be why. Then my other friends on Comcast, which live within 5 minutes of me, get 3 bars… though the games still seem just fine against them.
Besides that no… Lots of 4 bars though.
