I went to Skybox today after my class and I was really disappointed. First off, the sticks are shit as always. I was told that someone spilled pop on cvs2 machine and now the buttons are sticky. It’s bad but its not THAT bad. I prefer sticky buttons to mp coming out by itself (which is currently the case on the right side)

Not many people play cvs2 anymore. Rich, Calvin and Alex and other good players rarely show up. Only 3 people from Fraser play this game consistently at Skybox and they aren’t top players (Wayne is pretty good actually). A few players went to university/work now. Basicly my point is that Skybox’s shitty sticks aren’t worth your time. Sauga cvs2 players collectively aren’t worth your time either.

Anyways, if anyone wants to challenge sauga in cvs2, I’ll be there (maybe alone lol). If anyone wants training, I could help.
If you don’t mind coming all the way to sauga, we can probably start something. We could play at skybox if you don’t mind the shitty sticks, or you can come to my house to play cvs2 and other games on ps2 for free.

Hey people. I’ll be at EG on Saturday. The wife won’t let me go to Pacific Mall cause we’re supposed to go to some birthday in the evening. Wow, how do women always screw over good video gaming? Meh, they’re useless sometimes. But since the UN is cancelled I don’t feel so bad.

Anyways, Ike, you should really show up more often. Watching someone different play was kinda nice. Anyways, I hope that there some people on Saturday. It’s my only time away from the wife, I’d like to have some fun.

Darko and John, just to let you know, I won’t be at Orbit today…same problem Vanny has with the girl and all. :xeye: Geez, Vanny, I thought you weren’t whipped? :lol:

If you’re going though and I’d definitely recommend it, don’t be surprised if you run into some good competition. I ran into a brick wall yesterday, especially on the CvS2 machine that’s for sure.

Just curious though but did anyone get in touch with Poke Guy? You guys should hook up and play him some time. Solid K Groove stuff. He has taken Rey down a few times. I think I’ve only ever gotten the chance to play him once at T5 casual and he took me out, although I think I put up a good fight if I remember right. :karate: Might be worth the trip to Sauga for some of you. You know, expand the boundaries.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone else had thought of it too considering CvS2 is like 3 years old now. I actually got the idea from a Japanese vid but added a little variation to it.

Where did you get this vid? I wouldn’t mind seeing some various C Groove Cammy stuff since my basics with her are pretty crap right now. From my experience, she seems better overall in K with the JD and run.

Presently, I won’t be going to Mohawk for a while now.

There is no competition at the place anymore.
Vince is broke?
(I dunno, but he never plays the damn game, even though he said he wants to learn and get better at SF, me confused)
Ike doesn’t seem to play as much anymore.
Mario’s never there.
Rey always play a game or two, but then he had to vamoose almost immediately (can’t blame him, though. The man is busy and doesn’t care for it).
The only time I truly had fun was when Jimmy showed up.
The man is relentless and he won’t give up until he beat your ass down (similar to me).
Well, that’s pretty much all of Mohawk’s 3S competition (or lack thereof).

That place is infested w/ pathetic scrubs that cum to the place just to talk and watch people play, but not play the games themselves.

Today, while I was playing, this dude came and sit next to me, trying to make conversation after every round:

Some dumb-unknown-dude - "Wow, man, you almost lost that round!"
Me - “…”

After next round:

Some dumb-unknown-dude - "Woah-ho, that was, like, awesome, man, it was, like, such a close match, man…"
Me - “…um, yea…”

Heh, that dude needs to know that I’m not gonna talk to your pathetic ass unless I know you, or unless you have some sense of knowledge for the game.

After that, this other loser came up to me and asked me if I was playing the game when it was obvious I was sitting in front of the fucking machine and playing the dame game.

Anyway, he challenged me and got bladly fucked-up within 10-15 seconds in all three rounds.

And apparently I can’t mash/slam the buttons because of the chick that works there.
Fortunately for her, there is no MvC2 machine at the place and that she’s never witness the Japanese play these games or she’ll burst into tears and cry in agony.

I was just really fucking pissed that I couldn’t complete any of Urien’s juggles, or pull out his EX specials with comfort and ease.
These Japanese buttons are killing me.
Couldn’t do the same shit at Mac, either, and talking about Mac…

So, I was at Mac, and I would just like to say that Jeff and I got owned by empty jump super today.
Kind of like how roll-super in CvS2 owns me for free…

It was annoying and frustrating at the time but I’m cool with it.
It’s part of the game and we need to stop getting fooled by these scrub-like tactics.
And the people there actually come to the arcades to play games.

As of now, I would rather go to Mac than Mohawk, unless somebody here can convince me otherwise.

i haven’t been playing at mohawk because there’s not competition there. always the same joes… and i already did get better… you havent’ seen me play in the last few days…but i won’t talk about that until you get the chance to see it with your own eyes… just ask mario or ike. (mario showed up the last couple days in the morning) yeah so i am broke, i still play though when there is someone interesting to parry. (you gotta ask ike and mario about that one too)

There’s no competition because we haven’t create any opportunity for it; at the moment, we are the competition (well, not anymore, actually) and saying that facing each other is boring and that it won’t bring anything new to the table (which is wrong, btw) and blah, blah, blah is just basically saying I don’t like/want competition or learn the game.

And this is the same guy that’s always posting here asking people to help improve his game, right?

It doesn’t matter, though, people there are competitive and enjoy playing the game.

yeah…mohawk does lack people who actually play SF…most are just casual gamers…but at least they put up against people when they know they’re not that skilled…they even say to me that they’ll lose…but play for fun anyways…which is what this should be about…you know…fun owning up with Q…getting double digit streaks…playing by not blocking supers but just parrying…:lol:…but yeah…hamilton isn’t the place to look for high level comp like the GTA has…it’s just the fact that there’s not a big gaming community here like there used to be in the 90’s…so if you want good comp…take a trip down to play TOSF and see what you can do…but since that’s far…just start out at MAC since more people play there than at mohawk…so if you can own up at MAC and mohawk consistently then it’s time to play other cities…

even though it’s 2 out of 3 rounds there…it’s good…it’s how SF normally is…makes you play hard through all the rounds…unlike at mohawk where it’s 3 of 5 where I goof around cause there’s so many rounds to play and mess around…plus the fact that I’m not into 3s

I don’t know about “wealth of knowledge” but yeah, like Rey said, there’s a lot more competition here. When I go to Orbit, I at least get some 3S against varying competition and sometimes, like last Friday, some hardcore CvS2 comp too. When he gets a chance to go, I’ve been playing dogberry and his vicious old school skills at Hyper AE. I actually also have a 3S machine in the neighbourhood that I play this really good Urien player every now and then when I get a chance. So TO >>>>>>>Hamilton in terms of finding random competition for sure.
