Expansion of the pool of players will always lead to greater knowledge of the game but the size of your community doesn’t really make a difference. Team Brampton was essentially formed because the five of us (me, Jason, Byron, Pete, and Gandhi) realized that we were the bar set above everyone else. So we played each other constantly and got better because we focused on beating each other and getting better. That’s five people who all have a solid - very good rep (well except Gandhi but he quit so whatever) in the entire GTA. You guys have what… 12 - 15 players at the solid level at least and you’re complaining about lack of comp? While I do advocate getting out there and playing new comp, you guys have so many players right at home that you should all just be playing each other every day and learning from each other. If you’re not taking anything away from your losses then it’s hopeless but if you keep playing and learn from your mistakes then you all will take a step forward and the Hamilton community benefits as a result.

Hey guys, i know i havent posted in ages but yeah, im gonna try to more often. I have finally stoped practicing 3s at home i have reached the limits of what i can do at home. Im now working on my mind game, being more patient and what not. I ve also been working on my exicution and rushdown, they are developing very well.oh i have droped all work on cvs2, and focusing soley on 3s, and waiting for tekken 5 and fighting jam.

Garfield: Short black dude, plays almost everyone.
Warren: Asian dude, plays Hugo, Urien, Ken. He’s really good at parrying. …too good… :xeye: Not the best English.
Kevin: Plays a pretty awesome Yun. Good at alot of different characters. Probably the best player at Mac IMO.
Kenny: Asian dude with a cap. Doesn’t play very much, but he’s pretty good. Retires a character after getting a 5-win streak.
And that’s about it. We all go down at random times during the day. Primarily between 1230-230, or 330-630. Warren is there ALL THE TIME. In fact, I’ve seen him in there before the place has even opened. It’s wierd. Just post up if you guys are comin’ and we’ll try to be there.
Warren is the guy who tripped me 5x in a row because i kept trying to low parry today. Yes he’s been there every single time I’ve gone as well…it’s kinda odd. I saw him there at like 6 once
He’s only good with hugo tho I think…other chars are alright

The first time I went there there was this guy playing ken who raped me really bad…I think he’s the guy with the cap but im not sure. And some Yun guy barely squeezed out a win against me but I only had 50 cents so i couldn’t really tell how good he was.
Linking is still homo there…but it’s not as bad as before.
Warren and Garfield were the guys we played when me, Rey and Nam went that one night. They were fun to play. There was also a Remy player there who was pretty good but not sure who that was…
I may come back to Hamilton next Thursday, so maybe I’ll drop by Mac or something. I’ll post up when I know for sure.

Regarding Unblockables:
I gotta set this shit straight for the last time, unblockables are non-existent in the 3S machines at Mohawk AND Mac.
You folks need to understand that perfect positioning and specific timing/spacing is NOT needed in order for unblockables to cum into effect.
Why it’s important is because of the fact that Urien needs to time (and space) his unblockables correctly for him to be able to launch his opposition up w/ the elbow (d.hp), allowing him to juggle again in return.
If Urien’s command kick (toward + mk) doesn’t work, then the game has no unblockables, period.
You don’t even need to do his command kick, you can use d.lk, st.lk, d.mk, st.mk, toward + mp, Chariot Rush, other moves, etc., etc…
Just as long as the opponent is hit from both sides at the same time while pressed against a projectile, it will cause an unblockable situation (on the version w/ unblockables).
What Ike did to me (Knee-drop corner shit) wasn’t the result of an unblockable situation, but was the result of the knee-drop crossing me up, thus hitting me on my wakeup when I blocked in the direction of the Aegis.
There is a way to block through that whole sequence and I am positive that it will work:
As you wakeup, hold down on the joystick the “down-back” motion and as the Knee-Drop is about to hit you, immediately switch the joystick motion to “back” to block high.
Try that and see how it goes.
Ike also said that the PS2 version of 3S has unblockables that are programmed specifically for the game, which is untrue.
That is a port of Version 1 of the Arcade 3S.
We have Version 2 of 3S at Mohawk and Mac.
And you can also select that version in PS2 3S if you set the “Guard Judgement” to “New” instead of the default “Old” (which enables unblockables).
