Weak oil after slide->bodypress is not safe against Kenās wakeup jab DP or either ultra. If it can be made safe, the timing is pretty tight. Safe against his other wakeups, including EX DP. Itās not looking like there are a lot of completely safe oil chances, which is extremely bad news for Hakan. Have you ever heard of a grappler who, by design, cannot apply constant pressure once he gets in? Well, now you have.
Part of the problem is his 3-frame command grab. That 1 extra frame takes away the fear that people should have of being close to a grappler. Couple that with the lack of a good reversal and you have a grappler that can be countered at close range with basic block strings.

I couldnt safe oil lk off a press vs Adons srk. Controls were bad, so i hope thats the case.

About LK oil after press: I was doing the LK oil as soon as I possibly could after the press, including buffering the motion during press recovery to get oil out on the first available frames. Iām sure I was doing it within, say, three or four frames, which is a reasonably tight timing. Kenās jab DP, and both ultras, were hitting me reliably when I did this.
if you have meter and you slide you can cancel to safety or is that not safe as well?

I came across this in a match by accident. I was playing as Hakan against an ibuki.
I did a dash normal cancel aka crisco into f. H. kick. As the kick was in its start up frame ibuki grabbed me. I was holding foward h. kick (this iām sure of). It was an automatic crouch tech. There were rumors that Hakan couldnāt be thrown, well this seems to be true. I tried this with ryu and produced the same results. Unfortunately, iāve only experimented with two moves.
-d.n.c into foward h. kick (cannot be grabbed out of; automatic tech throw)
-d.n.c into c. m. kick (seemed too fast that ryu could not grab hakan out of it. Seemed to counter hit everytime.)
Hopefully, someone can post a vid of this and prove this myth of auto teching.
Also, didnāt mean to mislead people by saying Hakan is completely unthrowable. He can be thrown, of course. He just canāt be thrown under certain conditions it seems. I just needed a way to grab peopleās attention. So i chose the title seen above.
if its a myth, it happened to me to. Was just playing vs a ken and he kara grabbed me while i was just holding F+RH and it just auto teched. was kind of weird.
^ Guys, Iāve seen a Dhalsim grab Hakan before. Funny thing was that it was two computers beating each other up on the screen where it waits for you to push start.
And I KNOW that Iāve been 360ād by a Zangief before as Hakan.

Yea, Iāve been thrown around alot. He most definitely CAN be thrown, but Iām going to try this auto-tech thing out for myself to see if it works.

anyways you guys seem to be saying Hakan cannot be grabbed out of a certain move? Is this oiled or non oiled? It seems to be uncertain as of now but can anyone test this?

Also can anyone really confirm that Hakanās command grab can be beaten by normal grabs? I set Adon to do his dive kick into grab and I was able to command grab him (non oiled) out of his grab. When I reset this and when for the grab we teched so I know itās not a timing issue.
I tested it, and oiled f.+HK definitely auto-techs throws. I couldnāt get any other normal of his, oiled or unoiled, to auto-tech in the same way. So weird! Makes me wonder what other secrets are yet to be unlocked with Hakan.

Wow! The auto tech grab can help with people who pressure then suddenly throw. if I see them stop attacking I can throw out a f.HK to either knock them down ot tech a throw and escape. Awesome find.
