Hakan Improvements for SSF4 AE?

My god theyre multiplying!!!

Element of su…huh!? I’ll have to respectfully disag…wuh!? :wtf::wtf: If I have to rely on such a degree of luck and chance in order to be successful with Hakan then I’d rather just drop the character all together. With all do respect I think you may need to re-evaluate your philosophy.

That LADY LUCK is such a teasing, lying skank isn’t she. :bluu:

I think he’s joking, he’s just really good at writing without a hint of sarcasm (kudos)

if not. well. I don’y know what I’ll do.

I LoL’ed on that one.

Link me to anywhere that says there will be game balancing in the Arcade mode, OP. You can’t can you.

why thank you

and @ The Electrifying One

you sound kinda salty about that. how come?

dude put your head back in your ass -->Ono Talks Up Super Street Fighter IV Arcade (andriasang.com, 07.07.2010)

Good luck troll. Don’t know why you read frame data when your theory in practice is to mash 360/720K :3p::3k: … whatever. let this thread die.

thanks for the link.

Yes I am really salty. Pretty much trembling with rage as I write this

Jnguyen, you have polluted what could have been a productive thread with your thoughtless drivel. Either you are a Troll or a very, VERY stupid individual. from this point onward, I will ignore any stupid things you say.

To try and raise this thread from the dead, one thing I would like to see (and might have been mentioned elsewhere) is DDT that goes over crouching opponents. At first this may seem like a very small change, but I think it could have alot of potential. For example: say you get backed into a corner, and there is some space beween you and the opponent. too far to OR or normal throw your way out, and the opponent’s offense has let up for a beat. use DDT, and now the opponent has to make a choice: use one of their moves to beat it out (if they have any) or crouch. By crouching, you are now very much out of the corner, and a somewhat safe distance away from the opponent. By using something to beat DDT out, they might make a mistake or be suprised if you don;t throw DDT out very often. Its not much, but it at least gives hakan another option in the corner.

in every other sitation, it just makes DDT alot safer when wiffed, although still dangerous against anyone with fast, fulscreen moves (dudley might still be able to punish after you fly over for exampe)

You can just find a hole in their corner pressure and get out that way… The DDT would not go far enough to be really safe vs anyone. I’m pretty sure every character could just walk up and sweep you anyway.

Definetely reduce the oil up time for mk and fk. I’ve been hit with EX moves while trying to oil up after an ult or throw - eg Ibuki’s slide and Dudley’s combination. That shouldn’t happen in my opinion.

Yes, that should happen, you’re oiling too much against characters with full screen punishes.

well after either ultra, HK/EX Oil is safe. he might just be too late on the input.

hmm. didn’t think about that. yeah, I guess just finding holes will be better.

slightly improved range on EX unoiled Oil Rocket would be nice, so if you have the meter you will have at least one throw that you can use and not be terrified of it missing even if you look close enough.

Are you sure about that Met? I think its more of a distance issue than anything; they’re safe because most characters are too far to punish it in time, whereas as Dud and Ibuki have a full screen move (and a reversal one at that).

Um it might be like 95% safe against the whole cast, but I’ll definitely check in on Dudley, Ibuki, and Makoto in case the safeness is character specific.

I think it would be FANTASTIC is Hakan’s crouch HK were actually airborne.

He would finally have an attack that beats throws (besides Ultra 1, MK Super, and oiled EX Dive…lol), plus he’d have an interesting way out of block pressure. He could reset himself away from people who like to chip away at him with normals.

I mean, he leaves the ground during the animation. Just make it official.

See, it’s little details like this that could go a long way for Hakan. They just have to get a little creative.

that’s an ineresting idea. so it would be like other characters’ Hop-kick, except in one place? since it doesn’t move Hakan forward or back, it would balance out its great damage and tripping… it would definately help against those that like to spam grab when they’re stuck in the corner, and it could make matchups against characters with command throws From Abel to Gief just a little bit easier. I approve of this notion!!!

Hakan’s drop kick was always like like Elf’s s.HK, he’s just closer to the ground than Elf. yeah, a little detail like hat would definately be welcome!
