From what I’ve seen, if you use it sparingly you can startle opponents because nobody expects you to use that move. He can convert nice damage off it in the corner only, so use it when you have your opponent cornered and respecting your blockstrings. Shuma has legit close range pressure and I hear devitalisation had it’s range extended a bit?
yeah, the range is a LOT better,
I believe L has the most range, but least damage.
H is the other way around.
Well i use dorm and strange together, not too much synergy there but strange has 2 assists that can be pretty nice, bolts and eye of aggamotto, depends on how u like to play dorm…strange might actually have more DHC synergy with shuma, and mystic ray assist might be real nice to cover strange’s ass while he’s teleoporting around and trying to set up graces…
Yeah! That would be just nice.
The range is comparable to Felicia and Sentinel’s Command grabs, and they both have some of the longest ranged command grabs in the game (ignoring Skrull and Nemesis of course)
Unfortunately he can’t really convert off it midscreen the same way they can, but it’s better than nothing.

Bryant, just gotta say, your Shuma/Thor synergy is freaking beautiful. Shuma might have trouble getting in against some characters but he is awesome at punishing blocked moves,so being able to TOD like that with Thor assist is just sexy.
And a whole bunch of other stuff I wish I could watch again, like using mystic stare to make those poke blockstrings safe, J.S after a Hyper Mystic Ray in the corner into another HMR, and a bunch of other stuff I’ve never seen because nobody really records videos of shuma.
Edit: fuck those commentators for talking about random shit nobody cares about during those awesome Shuma and Phoenix Wright matches.

It never happened to me when using Shuma-Gorath, but I did it once with my MODOK. There was these two black dudes who were playing one another and speaking on the mic, and after I bodied both of them with MODOK, one of them said “motherfucker spent the whole match in the air, dawg!” The best part was how he said it, though - his voice was raspy with furious rage, ha ha.
Another time, there was this dude who said that I was the first MODOK that he was going to fight online, and half a match later my MODOK playstyle got to him and he kept saying “Seriously? Seriously? Seriously? Oh my God!” Especially when I flew to the top of the screen and floated there to waste his X-Factor, ha ha.
Im having trouble with this, i usually screw up with the second jumping heavy.What am I doing wrong. Is there points in this combo where i have to jump again? I want to up my shuma game for ultimate.
