In Training, Ryu Starting position, J Hk, HK, FFCombo, FADC U1, Lands FULL For 499 / 570 at max charge.
It’s the max range where you can land U1 fully. NO, IT’s ACTUALLY A LITTLE BIT FARTHER
mp Ex Hozanto FADC Full U1 Lands, both close and far, but not like u1,
it lands anywhere from corner to 5 - 5.5 Training squares.
Am I going nuts or is it now impossible to land a HK tatsu in the corner after a ninja sickle?? Missed it three times in a match (twice a bushin setup, once a super setup) and now testing and HK tatsu is completely different
Also you can land an instant jump Mp on standing characters, no idea if this is in anyway usefull though.
EDIT: this change to HK tatsu I dont like at all, Im whiffing after bushin chains, and I cant substitute MK tatsu as it doesnt have a high enough juggle count. Looks like Guy got a little more EX happy for me as I used HK tatsu as a combo finisher for a lot of things instead of Ex Hoz or Ex tatsu.
other changes (especially jumping HK) seem awesome.

Guy’s much more faster than Cody’s. No question.
right right, well I was testing against guy, so Ill try the rest of the cast, was playing against Blanka though. Ill get testing but it feels so different
also I’m not talking about point blank range, the amount Guy moves forward seems to have been changed so Im whiffing where I once landed. I used HK tatsu too much to be honest, and if its changed I got a lot or bad habits to break.

Doesnt seem as bad as I first thought against the rest of the cast its definatly different though.
On the plus side is at the distances I once used HK tatsu, U1 with its new distance will now work
Ultra 2 is seriously growing on me, the change to its throw range is really noticeable, looks like Guy finally has someways to land ultras
Oh yeah it NEVER worked on Guy, If you ever do Ninja Sickle on Guy doing a recent or Run/slide if possible, MK tatsu might work or lk, but Hk will always whiff.
Im playing ranked and I THINK cr.hk recovery is faster. ?
One guy focused every one that I throw, and I blocked his focus lvl 2 every single time.
test it out in Training mode, also see if a reversal SRK will punish it if blocked at max range
If cr.hk recovers faster then I’ll be content with guy. That would greatly help his game out. See if they fixed tc anymore. I’ll get the update later this evening. Really glad about u1 scaling better. Now both ultras are decent. Good stuff

I love how they changed ultra1 and 2 mp->run overhead->ultra2 will be good imo, some times before it would get to far away now it doesnt. And so easy to input now, I can even do run->stop->ultra2 again
Sad about j.elbow to lp->lp->bushin chain still miss mp on abel in the bushin chain and rose still can’t land the crossup with a normal j.mk if she’s standing
THe only thing Guy has going for him is if the nerfs to the stronger characters actually mean anything. Ultra 1 is slightly better yes, but if I do LEV 3 focus right next to an opponent, dash back instantly, I still can’t hit em with ultra 1. Pretty disappointed overall about the ultra. Cr.HP counterhit is useful, but heck I couldn’t pull it off in training consecutively, let alone in game. Ultra is as slow as it’s always been.
The road is still pretty tough guys.
