Guilty Gear Slash

im certain you can still flick CSE, its just stricter

I STILL can’t finish off HOS’s Dragon Install. The furthest I’ve gotten to is the 2nd kick, then I get stuck. Also, my learning curve for this game is going mad slow because I’m playing on a Joystick instead of a ps2 controller.

I loathe how much slower I feel.

i was playing pocho for a while yesturday, and fdb didn’t seem to catch the cse even when i did it really late to the point where the cse sprite was touching potemkin’s arm during animation. so i was kinda assuming that it is incapable of deflecting multi-hit projectiles now.

i’ve deflected normal stun edge and anji’s butterfly (which isn’t always a good idea in slash) but haven’t got it to work on cse. i could just be off, though. :frowning:

No, Dizzy is still a rather strong character.
If your gonna pick on someone on who is the worse, might wanna point the finger at Robo-Ky. That bitch cant poke for shit now =/

Indeed.
But he has me on block now because he found out that I was a furry :crybaby:

Which is Ky’s cse? qcf+d? If so, yeah that can be flicked. Now I can’t randomly flick since the hitbox is so weird and projectiles have to be in your damn grill to reflect back.

No more pimpfinger ):

yes, it is qcf+D

Wish I had more time to practice this game, it feels brand-spanking new to me.

Sol…well, he feels better to me than before, but some of his stuff feels more demanding. I can’t get clean hit Sidewinder against certain characters (KY) to save my life. Still, some interesting changes made. He feels really strong.

HOS is hella, hella fun to play. He can’t fight good zoning for shit, but his inside game is sick. More later.

Hell yeah!!

My only issue with him is that his Powering Up move is way to fuckin’ slow. Speed that shit up, your not hurting anyone by making it a bit faster (not to fast of course). Seeing as how he can do really good shit at lvl 3, its rare that he can actually hit lvl 3 =/

Still fun =)

can anybody tell me how Eddie is in Slash?

Im still hesitant about getting this game, because im gonna need to mod my PS2:wasted:

kaqn doesn’t even seem to bother using action charge when he plays h.o.s

it’s quite arguable that it’s more important for h.o.s to stay in close proximity to the opponent and keep rushing, which is somewhat a logical reasoning since he has relatively short reach on most of his normal (except for some stuff, like 2s and 6h which practically look the same as normal sol’s).

i’m personally not a big fan of h.o.s so far…

Little Eddie takes up more bar, and takes longer for little eddie to come back once he dies. Not to mention, thanks to the extra push back added into the game, Eddie can longer keep in you the corner as well. Shit, I remember playin some really good Eddies and I was able to escape the corner, even when little eddie was out.

Not to mention, Eddie can no longer do those retarded 80-90% damaging combos due to the fact that little eddie no longer has the ability to build up the opponent’s Guard Guage.

I’ll summarize Eddie in Slash: the only good Eddie is Ogawa’s Eddie.

lol, so you call yourself a furry now.

Also, are Justice and Kliff’s stages the same as in #R, or did they actually put in something new for them?

sounds good, minus the little Eddie taking longer to come back.

well, eddie actually has a new special to recharge the meter… but his overall game is not that great anymore.

also, another important thing that PozerWolf did not mention is that eddie’s flight sucks in comparison to what it was in #r.

can u swap disc this or HD only?

To those who are complaining that their character is badly nerfed, complete Arcade mode with them and the option to press start on the character will appear. There you can switch between Slash mode & #Reload.

I did this for Robo Ky cause they butchered him in Slash.

Kliff definitley is, as I played against CPU kliff last night.

Not sure if this was brought up too, but when people mentioned the lack of Start button colours for the Slash Demo, I thought it was a demo thing but it seems to be a part of the full game too. It seems they moved the Start button to Respect (R2) as the start button now allows you to switch from Slash mode to #Reload mode.

Still not sure if there’s EX modes or more alternative colours as I haven’t found a way of unlocking it yet, if they exist. Time to start researching this game a bit more.
