Opening few minutes got me right in the feels

That killed me but I laughed twice as heard when directly after he said:

The Nova corps being a think in the MCU now, meaning we have a damn good chance of seeing Richard Ryder at some point now. I personally could give a shit about Nova, but I like seeing less popular characters get movie appearances.

It was all in the tone of his voice and the way his head turned, one of the most well acted and legitimate looking “What in the fucks” i’ve ever seen in a movie.
Just came back from seeing it, great movie. IMO the best movie of the summer.
considering the tone of the character in general, and the moment when it happens, it’s just a fucking brilliant thing to have witnessed. I honestly did feel like he had no idea what the fuck was going on. He’s just looking around, at anybody, trying to get a clue.
I feel as though Drax was deliberately left vague, so they can change shit up in the future. No real backstory for him (we get a teeny bit for Raccoon and none for Groot). Even during the movie, he changes who he feels needs to be dealt with in order for him to have retribution.

They have him going after Ronin for killing his wife and child, but then he tells Gamora something like “It was Thanos I was after all along”. I’d like them to somehow bring about his creation by Kronos to specifically deal with Thanos.
Just got back from seeing it in plain 2D, 3D really isn’t worth the extra money, the movie looks just as good in 2D.
I take back my earlier criticisms, Gamora was actually pretty good, I just wish she was more cold hearted (she was brought up by Thanos I would have expected her to be more like her sister (who was a dead weight in this movie) and then later warm up to the others, I think that would have made her character much more interesting.
Only minor gripe is that I wish the fight between Ronan and Drax had far less quick edits.
Grade back up to a B, still don’t think it is as well written out as Winter Soldier, but in a years time I’ll remember this movie and will have completely forgotten about Winter Soldier.

If they released one of those dancing flowers but a dancing baby Groot, I’d buy it now and put on my car console 
I saw it in 3D and I think maybe one scene actually made me think hmmm I’m watching a 3d movie. But I was in the 3rd fucking row, dead centre, soooo…But yeah, no real reason to see it in 3d (except nearest Imax for me is default 3d, so whatever).
I think both Gamora and Nebula will get fleshed out a bit more in the future.

The scene where they all ‘meet’ was well done too.
lol, or mattered. Drax didn’t seem superhuman that often, to be honest. Do you realize how fucked it was to see Batista in a movie, and his lines were 1000% better than his action scenes???
I’d give this an A- at worst. Some action scenes were pretty fucking poorly or quickly edited as you mentioned, but the combination of action and comedy so well done, that I can overlook any mistakes that occured.
I’d easily call this this generations new Star Wars movie.
entire soundtrack to this movie was awesome, I can’t praise it enough.

Came back from watching it. Great movie. Rocket and Groot stole the show as I expected them too. Every scene those two were in were great.
While I was watching the movie I tried hard to spot at Skrull somewhere in the background. I think there was one as part of the collector’s collection but couldn’t tell if the skin was white or olive green.
Ronan was underdeveloped. I know he’s just there to built up to Thanos but I wish they build up his fanaticism up more. Especially since he was working under Thanos as a means to an end.
The movie was pretty gdlk.
Never was bored during the movie. Thanos lookd beautiful. I really wanted to start beating my dick to him.

Thanos is basically like batman with the amount of gadgets and tech he always has on him.

Don’t laugh at his chair. That thing is actually pretty bad ass and took out a bunch of mind-controlled marvel heroes in the Infinity Crusade.
Loved the movie, Gamora was really nerfed in this movie though.
Chick can do crazy nerve strikes even through the thing’s hide.

All this talk of nerfing, I didn’t really think of it until now but Groot is smaller than he is in the comics, at least in most interpretations.
I want them to release this on tape, even as a sort of limited ed collectors thing, with an alternate “Awesome Mix” cover. I’d buy it.
