Yeah, it’s a little bit his ego (thanks for pretty much telling me what Adam Warlock has said since forever). I always felt it was more like he got bored being a God, and got ‘careless’. Even with the Gauntlet, he gives them all a small chance.

I know very little of Thane, but going off of his powers, he seem really lame.
One of his hands has the power to kill things, the other has the power to kind of kill things.
lol yeah that is pretty much it. I didn’t like how they explained his powers.
I’m also curious what’s going on with Ebony Maw, and if the Cull Obsidian is going to show up in the MCU.
anywho, saw the movie, and loved it. I wouldn’t say it’s the best Marvel movie (I enjoyed Cap 2 more), but the action was leaps and bounds above the others. I’m having issues with the big bads being so…useless. They seem to never show them being worthy of being a villain, then they get an infinity stone and basically shoot lasers or jedi toss people around.
Thanos was great, didn’t like how short they kept it though. He needed another scene later on.
Spoiler
That dude who spoke for Thanos, I kept wondering who he was, and if he was somebody important in Marvel comics. In Avengers, he was known only as “The Other”. Then I get curious as to who he would turn out to be, and Ronin does the only cool thing in the movie he got to do, and breaks dudes neck…oh well!
Collector was quite useless too.
Raccoon was meh. Overrated. Combined with Groot, they were hilarious though. Groot stole it for me (dat dance scene). Whiplash scene had me fucking rolling. Gamora fight scenes were pretty good, but I expected some sort of backstabbing from her early on, yet she seemed to trust everybody pretty easily.
Drax was fucking hilarious. Give that man an Oscar.
when they showed end credit scene, I sat next to some white bitches that got PISSED. “ugh, I had to sit through credits for that? I don’t even know who that is”. Got a lot of laughs. I think like one other person knew who it was.
Spoiler
Which infinity gem was that one supposed to be? We’re now just saying each gem has the power to smash planets??? Judging by colour, I would guess Space. And are they explaining them as being created/used by the Celestials? I was kinda disappointed they didn’t tie in Knowhere and the Celestial that was shown using the infinity gem, who looked like Arishem the Judge.
