Was trying out Frank/Haggar (or Spencer)/Hawkeye (or Trish or Taskmaster) and each worked fairly well for my playstyle. Haggar and Spencer assists easily get Frank to lvl 3 with no meter, usually need the corner though.
Haggar/Trish/Frank will get Frank to level 4 in a DHC From Haggar and Trish (rapid fire fist to trish round trip hyper, raw tag frank, super jump and take a single pic).
I really fucking like this guy… gonna mess with him a lot.
ok so another good partner to have on the team for THC’s is Chris but you need to have Chris’ boulder punch assist in order for his Sweep Combo hyper to come out (the one with many guns and the rocket launcher at the end). Franks shopping cart hyper finishes way before Chris’ hyper like dantes with the spin bounce in the air on the opponent allowing you to take an easy 1 picture that will get level 3 or a level 4 depending on your combo. If you are good you get get 2 snap shots in as well. Been in training mode this morning getting level 4’s off one combo sometimes a level 5.
I can see Zero/Frank/Dante being really cheap. Zero is Zero, and if he gets into Sougenmu he can do a high hit combo and uncounterable TAC into Frank. Level 4 or 5. Jam Session makes Zero and Frank great, and double projectiles from Zero is great for Frank. Shopping Cart is great for Zero, and Dante makes a good anchor.
Nova is a really solid teammate. If you have Nova on point and two bars you can get Frank to level 4 easily, and one more basic Frank combo will give you 5. The trick is to do a Nova combo that ends in Super Nova and mash the shit out of it, then DHC into Survival Techniques fairly early so that they don’t air recover. ST will whiff but recover in time for Frank to get the shot, and boom level 4. If you’ve got 3 bars you can throw in another super!
I’ve been using Nova as a ghetto Spencer anchor more, but still useful.
it doesn’t work with dormammu’s tracking sphere… I tried it… unless the timing is really strict. I didn’t try trish though since I don’t like playin as her
yeah ive been trying a team with Frank West as point and Hawkeye as anchor but im so annoyed that dante is his bff.
all of dante’s combos are now harder to do,hes not easy mode anymore :(, etc.
what have yall come up with regarding frank and hawkeye. only thing i have is cross ups with roll and greyhound assist.
the main thing is that i dont want to learn a whole new character jsut for the THC for lvl 3+
I think it works as long as the previous hyper before Trish’s round trip hyper puts them into the air. Haggar(or Deadpool) to Trish definitely give enough time for Frank to be raw tagged in for the super jump to lvl 4 with a singe camera shot.
Dormammu has waaaay too much recovery for Frank to be raw tagged in though, unlike Trish who can pretty much do whatever she wants once the blade leaves her hand.
a Team i was Working on was Hawkeye/Frank/Dr. Strange but it feels to random. i play Skrull so it seems that he would work. would Hawkeye/Frank/Skrull work or what combination of frank, hawkeye, skrull and dr. strange work and what order and assits (kind of an idea which to use but help is always welcome
Sorry if this may have been posted already, but I just discovered this today. Right now, I think She-Hulk is an exceptional point character for Frank. Here’s a combo I discovered today.
Starting with She-Hulk:
Any command grab > Shopping Cart assist > fwd+H > cr.L > cr.M > cr.H > S > jp.L > jp.L > jp.M > jp.M > jp.H > jp.S > land > call assist (I used Nova’s Gravimetric Pulse for the purposes of this combo > then use air down+H (Senton Bomb) to OTG > st.H > S > jp.L > jp.L > jp.M > jp.M > jp.H > TAC any direction (preferrably up or down)
When Frank comes in:
jp. M > jp. M > jp. H > QCF+L > jp. M > QCF+L > M > QCF+L > jp.S > QCF+S > Super
*Notes:
–Results in instant Level 4 Frank.
–Not a “true” combo–contains one TAC, giving the opponent one chance to escape.
–Does not work further than half-screen. Does work in corner, however.
–Must delay She-Hulk’s forward+H overhead slightly after calling Shopping Cart, or else rest of combo will not connect.
–Down+H may work instead of jp.S when finishing the air combo, but I couldn’t get it to connect consistently.
– If forced to use side TAC for fear of being countered, dash forward before Snapshot.
–If you choose to use his Blue Light Special super (shopping cart), you can XFC and take another Snapshot for instant Level 5. If you do, using his Survival Techniques super (cinematic) does its max damage. You can then DHC into another super of your choice to kill any average-life character; if you chose to TAC down and pulled it off, you could possibly kill off any character in the game (a She-Hulk+Nova DHC killed Thor).
–Tested it against Rocket Raccoon, so it should hit most characters.
@King Zeal
dude thats good stuff. three things though: 1) TAC is kind of disheartening considering the up/down are easy to mash a counter. 2) doesnt the qcf+l + m loop only work on big characters? im surprised it work against rocket raccoon. 3) how much dmg?
also, watching Jint on CC open. i think im gonna switch dante for ryu just because ryu tatsu is like new akuma tatsu. and i find him better than dante, just cause of more health and great dhc damage and compatibility
upgrade to lvl3 combo w/ ryu tatsu:
L,M,H,S, j.M. j.M j.H qcf+L, j.M S, call ryu tatsu, snapshot, S., j.m, j.m, j.h, j.s, snapshot xx super or nothing
i need to check how much dmg it is though.
The TAC isn’t so bad–especially coming from a She-Hulk player, where her original bnb combos relied on the TAC glitch exclusively. And this is even better, because it’s a 1/3 chance of being countered rather than 1/2. Really, you can TAC in any direction and make it work, but up/down work best because it’s easier to OTG with the Snapshot > Super. (The Super can whiff if you don’t time it EXACTLY right from a side exchange.)
I think TACing makes it easier to land the M > Tools Of Survival L loop. It definitely works on Rocket Racoon. I tried it three times and it works perfectly.
Also, the damage was between 600k to 700k, depending on how many hits of the Super connects and which Super you choose to do. Depending on my opponents’ team structure, I sometimes just pop the XF to kill their character. You get Lv 5 Frank and take out one character all in one combo.
On the subject of Haggar being a teammate for Frank… I just discovered the other day that if Haggar lands one fully charged Rapid Fire Fist when he’s on point, you can tag in Frank and get him to Level 5 guaranteed.

Basically you just land a 45-hit Rapid Fire Fist, and instead of using the ground bounce to juggle, hard tag in Frank and OTG with camera shot while calling Haggar lariat to pop them back up. Then launch them and do a basic 3-4 hit air combo and you can OTG with camera again and get the remaining PP to hit Level 5.
The problem of course is that you HAVE to hit the Rapid Fire Fist on a grounded opponent, juggles don’t work. But seeing how RFF now has full invincibility all the way through the first hit, you can actually use it as a somewhat unexpected counter to certain things now.
So yeah, I think Haggar + Frank could end up being a pretty solid duo. They even both have animal skin colors!
