If your Dante is on point, you can start him off, do one of his bnb’s but modified to do more hits then damage then dhc to a whiff Frank Survival Techniques super before Million Dollars end. Dante’s super will have them floating as Frank’s super whiff, giving you enough time to take a pic (the counter should be around 100 hits anyways so you only need one pic). You won’t have to deal with keepaway as much since Dante on point has so many options to deal with things. It’s easier when the super is hitting midscreen, which shouldn’t be a problem since Dante is good at putting opponents where ever he wants.
How do you guys feel about Ghost Rider backing up Frank? GR’s got good assists to cover Frank (alpha or beta), their THC can get Frank to level 4 pretty easily… just not sure who to put on anchor. Other than Wesker

Most likely I’ll use Wade to annoy enough to slip 'em up, then combo in Frank, THC, and Level Up. Tried it in the Danger Room and was able to get up to Level 4 (which is what I basically wanted.) Don’t really have anyone on Anchor since I can switch up whoever’s on point between Jen & Wade.

was thinking of switching deadpool for someone i am more comfortable using…(i like using keep away characters and brawlers)a note though i am really random and crappy when it comes to playing as dante so as much as he’d help frank i can’t put him on the team
Right now I’m using Ammy (Cold Star)/Frank (Shopping Cart)/Taskmaster (horiz. arrows). I’m not wild about Taskmaster third but not sure who else to use. I’d use Dormmamu but I really feel like I need full screen projectile assist. I guess I could use Doom, but … meh. Any other ideas?

Nova’s PoTNF hyper doesn’t always cause a hard knockdown. When does it? Is it because you used the crumple rush in the air?

I’ve decided to run Frank/Chun/Doom.
Chun assist extends combos after a Snapshot. Doom beam helps him get in.
Doom’s assist can also help out Chun. If Frank’s still alive, then he can apply pressure with the shopping cart.
Doom doesn’t really benefit too much from Frank’s/Chun’s assists, but he’s already a solid char.
If I want to, in the corner, I can do a THC with Frank and Chun to level up Frank.
The DHCs on this team are kind of bad, though.

I mostly use Frank as an assist to extend Wolverine’s combos and put him in during team aerial combos to level him up. This way, whenever the opposing team takes out my point character, I already have a leveled up Frank.
lotta ppl got different ways to lvl frank none are the wrong way.FRANK ON POINT. my method is with dante a1 on jam sesh and wesker a2 on jaquar kick.( u can sub gunshot) get him to lvl 5 for 2 meter i forget the exact dmg around 700k
can be done midscreen or in corner. jump in S, c.M, c.H, S, M,H,plunger, knee drop, qcf+h, a2(let the assists do all the hits), dash forward, c.H, S, M, H, S, thc., snapshot x2= lvl 5 correct me if im wrong.
also the thc can be done off of any throw air or ground and can get u to lvl 4 EZ
if u land the combo and u dont have 2 meter just do snap shot+jamsession at the end = lvl 3 , 2 snaps if u can and u get lvl 4
very easy combo and reliable lvl 1 bnb to lvl 3-5
I’m wondering whether I should stick with Plasma Beam or switch to Hidden Missiles.
Meanwhile, I think some people are focusing their teams too much on leveling up than actually dealing damage. There needs to be a point where people cease most attempts to level up and instead optimize their combos for more damage, and I think that point is not Level 4 or 5, but Level 3.
air m is too good to pass up at lvl4 most combos will get u to 3 and the next one should kill. why not take a pic and get to 4
idk both are good but hidden missles is pretty good defensive and offensive assist
Dunno, sometimes, you want to level up but then you realize that you have to limit your combo to do so. If faced between shortening the combo to level up or killing a character, I’d kill the character.
I mean, Level 4 Frank is good, but I was just thinking that many people’s teams don’t seem to built for anything beyond a level up. Lv. 4 Frank isn’t invincible, he still could use some help from assists.
I was beginning to think the same thing. Instant Level 4 or 5 is either too costly or too difficult to be practical. I decided to settle on using Chris’ punch combo assist to simply double any incoming PP. Gets to Level 3 almost every time, and Level 4 very soon after.
Just fought this ridiculous frank/strange/viper team. great assists and great dhc synergy. dude just ran all over my frank lol.
You’ll never land the first hit though without a projectile assist or something to help you get in. My friend was trying a similar strategy, but I just did photon shot over and over and again while calling Dante jam session and he was fucked.
I think Frank West(Shopping Cart)/Trish(Low Voltage)/Doctor Doom(Hidden Missiles) will be a really strong team for Frank. Hidden Missiles is great for locking your opponent down and relaunching and mixups. And Trish has really good round harvest setups for Frank
…after messing around in the lab a bit I’m thinking I’ll run Ammy/Frank/Doom. Ammy’s combos that end in the Okami Shuffle can be used to get Frank to lvl4 pretty easily by whiffing Survival Techniques in the DHC. I’ve found that Ammy’s Cold Star is great for helping to extend combos w/the heavy Tools of Survival after ending Frank’s air combos and also hopefully helping to lock opponents down.
…Doom’s Plasma Beam covers the horizontal. A plus is all the DHCs flow well together. Pretty basic stuff I guess, if I can translate this into wins online is another question though.
