But ultimately, as Stridum pointed out, Yuujirou’s ego is both his greatest strength, and his greatest weakness, as no one is harder on him than himself.
I’d like to see more of Yuujirou’s early life, as we’ve already seen several instances of his war exploits, and a peek at Grandpa Hanma would be even better.
you know. i really was hoping jack would have come to some type of realization and jumped up to baki’s level by now. he is such a fucking monster. its a shame he once again blindly acted like an ass and got his shit all shattered up. i wish we would have gotten a little medical background on his steroid usage after maximum tournament. i wonder if the “doc” had him on some type of better steroid plan, or if he was just going hard again after his stretching the body ordeal. no homo, i love seein jack. he’s pretty up their in the man scale. that hanma shit creates some diesel shit. now he back to no teeth and a shatter jaw. ugh, this dude and fucking up his mouth has gots to end. stop with the god damn biting.
doppo is a bum. i only like him in the ova and when he destroyed ex kung fu man with the tricks in, new grappler baki.
i like that baki is now turning into yujiro a bit with his lust for fighting. he had his love moment, and it was good shit, but now hes back on that realness. you know, im also not put off by the brokeness of the hanmas. im still always entertained. but i guess things are about to wrap up, seeing as though some major hitters are completely trashed after this pickle encounter, and the rest dont really matter in the grand scheme of things.
baki vs yujiro, who do you want to win. i would say yujiro, but theres some huge philosophical shit behind it, and baki walks away pleased, and yujiro acknowledges him as his equal or something like that, but baki lost for some like minor shitty reason, but on skill and strength yujiro recognizes him as equal, and baki can get back to a semi normal life for a bit. i also want the dudes who made fist of the north star to come out with a grappler baki game. super brokeness times a billion. been drinking. sleep time
Um no. Yuujirou made it clear before Baki fought Ali, that Baki is his equal. Re-read when he’s talking to Ali Jr., Yuujirou CLEARLY stated that Baki is strong enough to “fight me in a battle of equals”, Yuujirou’s exact words.
Yuujirou’s been waiting for the moment Baki would be his equal since his conception, he wouldn’t toss around the word “equals” for someone he just want to fight with, hell, he would fight Oliva and he’s never referred to him as an equal, even though Oliva was closest to Yuujirou in strength.
Well, I meant he didn’t see Baki as a person as powerful as he was-- but just as a person worth fighting, an equal in that capacity-- someone like Orochi, Kaku, or Olivia (though we never saw it)-- someone he’d make the demon cry for.
Oh yeah; do you guys notice some similarities between Gouki and Yuujiro?
Both have something on their backs; Yuujiro has the face of a demon, while Gouki has the mark of Ten/Heaven appear on his back as well.
Both have red hair and want a certain fighter to become stronger/of their level (Ryu and Baki respectively)
Heh, Now there’s a perspective I could agree with, and if put like that, it could easily be interperated, hahha, Yuujirou did say he could fight him in a battle of equals, he said nothing at all abuot Baki being able to beat him, or even come close.
Tizoc: Hahah yeah, Yuujirou does have a lot of similarities to Akuma. If it helps, they’re both based on the creatures of japanese folklore, the Oni, hell Demon Eyes Kyo has the red hair and eyes too, and his japanese name is “Onime no Kyo”, so red might be a color commonly associated with Oni, though the big puffy/or long white hair is also common.
I always thought that Yujiro and Akuma had some similarities. I don’t think Akuma is as violent as Yujiro though. I remember in the anime series when he went into a boxing gym to “kill time”. Storywise, I really wanted Doppo to beat him but I kind of seen it from a distance that wasn’t happening.
