I’m pretty sure Grand Kaioh is not a match for Yujirou. I mean come on he had to play dead.
Grand Kaioh was going toe to toe with him until the end were Yujirou got the upper hand and was about to end it with his strongest punch.
It’s even funnier than I remember, he beat up Andy, Terry, Ippo and a bunch of other famous martial artist. Unfortunately, the fights weren’t shown. 
He’s no match for Takamura though.
Um Yuujirou lost the contest of strength, Josh, not Pickle. Yuujirou was forced to use a martial arts technique to stop Pickle’s advance.
Right. Techniques are tools used by the weak to overcome the strong, who simply rely on strength. To use a technique is basically admitting that your opponent is stronger, so you needed an assist. Aaaaand if I remember right…Pickle in turn used a technique when he fought Baki. Does that imply that Baki jobbed that last fight against papa?
^More like Itagaki fucked up that final fight in terms of plot consistency. Pickle was said to be outright stronger than Yuujirou during his entire arc, and by the time Baki fought Yuujirou at the end, he had forced Pickle to admit his weakness. Baki also had the Ogre Brain power up as well, yet still lost to Yuujirou. Horrible horrible writing.

Speaking of eye-candy, I’ve always felt Renka Ba was portrayed as being considerably more advanced in her martial arts studies than the other disciple class characters, but seeing her attack a master class opponent all care-free and cheerful really rams it home this chapter.

The only “trick” Pickle used was his sudden burst of overpowering strength.
Man, every chapter of Breaker New Waves makes me look crazy like, “AWWWWW YEAH THAT NEXT CHAPTER SOME REAL SHIT ABOUT TO GO DOWN NIGGAAAAAAAA” and then it’s a chapter where they’re basically being all intense and talking to each other.

*Edited: Going back through the chapters, he had to have learned the technique he used on Baki from somewhere else, haven’t read SoO in a long time. Still against Yuujirou he used no martial arts techniques, as he fought against Yuujirou right after he was locked up for raping that news reporter. This was immediately after his revival

When he was sitting in the tree located within the military base, that was all he could think about. Shortly after, Yujirou appears and he uses that technique on him
