I think people are just use to the old GTAs. Driving isn’t a big deal to me anymore, I do wish I could escape the police easier though. I accidently bump into one, then I gotta clear the siren area. 
I also wish Bats were out freelance.
Ok, played it some more. Time for first impressions! I’m going to only list what I DON’T like, simply because aside from these few complaints, the game is A+ material so far. So here it is:
-Radio Stations: I don’t like any of them. I’m usually open minded about music, but none of the stations have songs I find enjoyable. I really like heavy metal so I thought LCHC was going to be good, but alas I’m not into anything there. I tend to just leave it on that Russian(?) station, or the rap station(for “Flashing Lights”), since those are the only two that don’t get on my nerves.
-Melee combat: It sucks, plain and simple. I know they are trying to be realistic, but it’s annoying to press the damn button 6 or so times and have Niko punch twice, and push the guy.
-Freezing: It happened twice so far and I get this bad feeling it’ll happen again. It’s annoying and really puts a bad taste in my mouth.
Aside from these 3 things, I like everything else so far. The story is good, the graphics are great, and I love the new controls and physics for this game. Oh, and the cops actually pose a challenge this time! A very welcome addition as far as I’m concerned. As for people bitching about this being too hard now, or that being too annoying. L2P or GTFO?
well when you have rockstar throw thoasands/millions of dollars for them to advertise on your website i think i would give the game a 10/10 too.
but i’m still enjoying the game, i still think its soild. i havent tried out mutiplayer yet.
one thing that pissed me off tho is them sharp ass turns. but i do like the try again feature instead of driving all the way back to your destination.
i have been playing the game striaght foward, so i havent really truely explored the city.
i would give it like 8 or a 9 out of 10. its definitly worth checking out if you dont have it yet.
For me, the most annoying part about this game is that it is hardly “Liberty City”. I can understand expanding the landscapes and completely redoing some of the layout.
But even the radio stations aren’t named the same. No more Chatterbox. No Game.
I was listening to the talk radio station hoping…expecting to hear lazlow at some point. Nothing.
…until I heard the commercial about Lazlow getting his own show. Which will probably start once I get to another section of the show.
So at least they saved some face.
Also, I almost cried when I heard them announce Bad Brains. :rock:
I had avoided any information on radio stations prior to the release and so far, I am glad I did.
i really like the commercials and tv shows etc.
but i’m glad i’m not the only one who noticed that about the radio stations. like are they completely startin a new cannon. i wouldve been like cool if they was like “this is liberty city, 10/15 years since the gta 3 era”

This game is all kinds of the shit. I haven’t stopped since I opened it up 4 c clock this afternoon. Hell, half of the time I was “watching TV” Republican Space Commanders or whatever had me weak, and Bas Ruton has a show lol

I couldn’t switch my reserve over so I had to go with PS3. Haven’t tried multiplayer yet, but PS3 owners, go ahead and add me. GAMES SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO BE THIS GOOD. I wonder how they’ll top this one.

the fighting has 3 buttons though, no four actually, theres dodge/block, if it was speeded up it would be shit for mutliplayer
and as for the graphics…
i can gaurentee you 10% of this game wouldnt be able to be handled on an xbox, its not just the coating thats happening, theres so much happening so smoothly, how in the hell can you insult the game
and personally i think the driving is fine, yeah i love skidding etc but the game would be so unbalanced imo

I bought GTA ltd edition for my cousins B.day and he will be getting it today by post
However before I sent it, I locked the box with the keys given and I have kept the keys, lol
I have given the keys to his nexdoor neighbour who I saw the other day, so he can play it today though
also I replaced the game with Spyro the dragon but gave the proper GTA to my neighbour as well in case he manages to get the black box open
It’s official: I can’t stand driving in this game. The handbrake is worthless. I’m trying really hard not to let this one thing bother me but seeing as how the game centers around driving, that may be tough.
I was on for about 9 hours. :wasted:
& the driving does suck ass…but whatev, I’ll get use to it.
