- It’s GTA, the graphics have never been great.
- There are 2 rap stations, that’s plenty of tracks.
- Yeah, the driving is kinda ridiculous. Standard brake is shit in this game.
- The fighting isn’t hard, it’s just hard to fight 2v1/3v1, just like real life.
- Subtitles are definitely necessary, I don’t understand the Jamaicans at all!
6)Yeah…where are the prostitutes? - Manhattan is in fact pretty damn empty in this game.
the controls had me all jacked…couldnt drive or aim for sheez. multiplayer was fun but it was hard to find ppl on the radar even tho we were all spawing right next to each other…
still fun!
I find the cops easy to get away from on anything less than a 4. After 4 its like the cops got genei jin or something.
the only dlc i want to see if the ps3 gets it at all would be more npc’s walking around doing stuff in the cities, more songs on the radio stations and more clothes for niko.
has anyone used the trains yet? where can i catch one in algonquin?
Anybody that shits on the graphics needs a new TV + glasses.
Personally I would never ask for out of this world, Gears of War, ultra, turbo, hyper graphics in a GTA. Fair enough it does lack in some spaces, but you really have to apreciate how dense the city actually is and how much detail has went into it. Like when your car gets crippled, someone’s head splats off your bonet, the explosions. For a GTA game, these graphics are good and concidering how much stuff the console will be going through to keep everything smooth, it’s nothing to complain about.
The driving though, I agree 100%. When I played it I noticed a message pop saying “use the brake (LT) to effectively take corners” but all I could get out of the foot break is a screaching car in a straight line. GTAIV has clealy went for realism and while realism is nice, you have to have a balance between realism and fun. Not being able to drive a car isn’t fun, being able to take corners is.
I really hope they tweak the driving with an update, I really do… Unless driving skill increases… Guess I can find out more tomorrow…
I completely agree regarding the driving and subtitles in this game.
The driving in previous GTAs was very simple and easy to control. This is way too strict.
And yeah, I’ve missed a lot of dialog.
For the most part, I am really enjoying this game though and have no other gripes.
Took Michelle to Cluckster Bell and got the draws a few times
And then punched her in the gut for beating me at the pool hall. Now she hatin’.
I probably won’t bother with multiplayer for another day or so. So much more to do.
i think i’m the only person in the world that feels like the ps3 and the xbox 360 are two rushed systems and that ps2 and xbox never lived up to their full capabilities.
i feel like graphics like what we see on gta IV could have been done on the ps2 to some degree…
remember super mario world? fast forward to donkey kong country 2. for example…the snes was used to its max. the psx was used to its max, IMO. after that…systems just started dropping for the hell of it.
All this “skill” stuff from san andreas has been scrapped.
Bend me over and call me Rick… You must be mad, in one way I agree the X-Box never got to show it’s true potential, but you’re not seeing this in any kind of condition it’s in now on a 128 bit system… Do the math…
I’m going to kill someone. And not in the game.
Lol you guys are driving on that bullshit standard setting. Switch it over GTA classic, I prefer driving with the X button and braking with square.
As for the fighting I don’t mind two on one, just he pushes people and shit like a sissy. Punch dem muthafuckas! I’m tapping circle like 8 times, so I expect eight punches.
never thought something like dkc2 would have been done on snes back in like 92 or so, either…or mario rpg.
anyway, i’ma stop complaining and enjoy the game for what it is. in my mind i’m comparing it to san andreas and its not holding up. i know this game will get better when i know where everything is at and how to control niko better.
exactly.
after playing for the past 5 hours, the hype died out and the story mode feels so repetitive. to be honest though, i didn’t like the other gta’s at all so i think i was asking to much from this game.
i’m having fun though and i do like it but not the best game ever or even close.
free mode multiplayer is definitely fun especially playing with all your friends.

We have to fuck some bitches up!
All about dat custom painted Huxley Sport! I don’t remember the name, but it looks like a Benz SLK55, that car drives and handles like dogshit.
Do you guys use the in car view while driving? IMO, the more realastic the driving the better. I noticed it has Stunt Driver-like physics so I can definately understand people getting frustrated with driving.
Yea when you guys drive do you fuckin floor the pedal? cause thats what your doing when you pull the trigger all the way down your shits gonna always be wobbly.
Ok, the game hasn’t locked up since the second time so I’ve been enjoying it a lot more now. I do have to admit, this game is quite the awesome, though I’m not entirely sure it’s worthy of the praise it’s getting. Yet. We’ll see if things start to pick up soon. As for people complaining about driving physics, I can’t disagree more. I think the cars all feel great, and how different they handle from each other is awesome. Anyone try drunk driving yet? It’s freaking awesome. Most realistic depiction of a drunk person in a game I’ve ever seen.
Anybody got tips on handling the motorbikes? Its like vice city all over again.
