Goodbye Tsuji Demon, Hello Tsujinrai Demon!

Ty for the info, gonna subscribe and rep when i have 500 posts

The super SGS (Dunno if they changed the name or not, but I prefer the older term) is superb. I recently started to main Akuma, as a few online buddies realized I didn’t suck as bad with him. Fireball spacing game took less than a round to figure out, so that annoying prospect of his gameplay is down. I hardly use EX moves though, the only one I enjoy from an aesthetic design is the EX Tatsu on wake-up to get someone off of me.

But yeah back to the topic at hand, since I hardly use my EX meter (Other than burning it off when I got a full one sometimes) I like the Super Demon over the Ultra just for the SPD properties of it, I find that very unique. Playing against Dictator it helps a lot to punished whiffed kicks, slides, and the like. The damage is reasonable, not completely worthless like say Rufus’ Super compared to his EX moves and Ultra, but not enough to make the Ultra obsolete to his game.

Plus against random scrubs that don’t know the grab properties, it’s good for a “WTF?! RAGE QUIT!” moment.

I’d say the super is far more useful when you use it sparingly, which is precisely why I never consciously try to get meter for the super, I always burn it when the time arises. If I get super that’s cool I might try to use it, but I’m not really worried about it otherwise. Blowing an entire meter on FADC blockstrings in a corner is just as useful, for different reasons obviously.

does his shun goku satsu in SF4 is fast as in 3s when you excute it with the forward+m.p combination ?

Yep. Unless you are playing CPU, the only way to land this is after a FA. Way too easy to jump over otherwise.

Just like Ryu’s ultra is the easiest thing to dodge in the entire game, but its only purpose is to follow up a FADC.

But Akuma’s ultra is one of the top 2 in the entire game. Only Blanka’s I’d consider over him - and that’s only if you get all of hits off his roll.

the idea when gauging how good an ultra is not how good it works on wakeup…its how easily its combod-into, how much damage it does, etc.

I would take Fireball super/ultra that did 60% of what the ultra currently does, personally.

that won’t work. it is impossible to do the tsujinrai demon if you have to press then release and re-press even one button in the input. the first roundhouse isn’t supposed to be whiffed, it gets cancelled.

ChunLi is close enough to get hit but doesn’t.

i can do it maybe 25% of the time (if i’m mentally prepared) using
index - jab
thumb - short
middle - strong
ring - fierce
pinky - roundhouse

the inputs have to be pressed nearly simultaneously. i would say it has to be faster than even double tapping and just as fast as the LP~MP~f+HP+LK demon.

I’m getting a lot of mileage out of standing far HK + buffer super demon so it pops out right before the 2nd kick would. Lots of people will eat that if you train them that you do lots of walking HK to sweep. You can space it just right so you end up in the “no escape” zone, though I think sheer surprise works 80% of the time

I’m trying to get this motion to match the videos- I can usually manage my input gauge to show the first plink correctly, but I can’t get the thing to work. How fast does the whole thing need to come out?

I’m trying this:

first finger in jab + ring finger on HK then slap index down on MP
forward joystick plus thumb on short/ ring finger on fierce

Any further tips on getting the timing right would be appreciated… part of me even wonders if I’m doing it too fast?

At the end of the Momochi vs Daigo match at God’s Garden, when Momochi uses the Ultra Demon was he just being flashy or can you actually go through Ryu’s super if he timed it right?

it has some invulnerability on start up so i would assume it’s possible, risky but possible.

He probably was hoping he’d use HP super…RD ultra has 6 frames invincible so yeah it’s possible…daigo was punishing a sweep for free reversal supper but akuma can cancel to ultra anytime from any normal…momochi was hoping it’d get him through. You can use RD to go through regular fb’s by ducking the first half with cMK and canceling into demon inside the fb so it carries you through.

Right, and in a win/lose scenario…other than the bars it gives them, you might as well try. :]

Given how difficult Tsujinrai Demon is and that we have the normal Kara Demon, dash demon, jump demon, and demon flip palm demon, there’s really no point in learning it. Unless you can execute this every single time. There’s probably a Japanese player that can do it. And if anyone can do it, it’s the Japanese.

EDIT: Nevermind. Tsujinrai Demon is awesome. I can do it now. There are various setups you can do with Tsujinrai Demon that you can’t do with the regular Kara Demon such as back dashing after a blocked Focus attack then doing it. You can also land it after Bread n’ Butter or throw.

why is this stickied?..I have never seen anyone effectivley use this in match japanese or otherwise and it’s difficulty makes me believe I never will.

The stickies on the Akuma boards are weird. But I’ve seen this used twice in Japanese match videos. Personally it’s not for me.

Lord do u know where thos matches can be located?

i use this shit all the time heh…if im playing ryu i can react to fireball and tsujinrai before it comes out at least once per round

look at this guy…
