Good teams for Trish?

This team can damn near do it all zone, chip rush, mixup but this team really shines in the reset department, corner and oppenent and they just lost one charecter, no need for xfactor or anything, as an added bonus you get use of the dhc glitch which is always useful, they have nice synergy (only problem comes from dhc’ing from the projectile hypers of akuma/trish to shehulk) outside of that this team is near flawless, not to mention the unblockables setup using the trish round harvest

Yeah, can’t DHC from a full screen Max Voltage or Akuma Fireball/Beam Super into She-Hulk, but you definitely can if you have them cornered.

I like the team quite a bit and I would play with flipping up the order before the match starts depending on what type of team/characters you’re facing.

The only thing I dislike about the She-Hulk/Trish/Akuma setup is that Trish doesn’t have an OTG to extend combos or combo off her air throw, but I guess you can’t have it all.

Yea it definetely sucks from time to time but half the time im playing runaway and chip with her so it works out, i’ve thought about switching akuma for someone who can better help she hulk get in and help trish zone, as of now tho this team is solid but i cant help feelin that i can improve on the team by changing out akuma

I wouldn’t sell him short - I do think he’s the single best all-around assist in the game. He really helps everyone, except for maybe someone like Chris because his own gunshots get nullified by the projectile countering effect of tatsu.

Benefits of Tatsu assist:

[]Tatsu helps you get in to start combos. Not quite from full screen, but he can bulldoze a path that you can follow. Great for both.

]Tatsu helps you stay in for mix-ups. This is great for She-Hulk and Trish.
[]Tatsu easily starts combos. You have days to hit confirm off the launch (She-Hulk can easily :d::h: slide into it into a full combo)

]Tatsu can even push people out, since it carries them for a bit. If you can work in a :d::l: :d::l: you can safely call tatsu, which will carry them away from you unless you want to chase them. This is great for Trish.

Plus Akuma easily DHCs after anyone in the game. He’s a menace with level 3 X-Factor. And he can beam out Phoenix if it comes to that. If you’re using someone like Doom or Iron-Man for their beam, they have a lot more trouble against her.

If Trish’s Low Voltage was better, you might try something like Tron as anchor, but I don’t think Low Voltage is enough to help She-Hulk get in.

Also I wonder if you can Round Harvest DHC into Raging Demon. At the right range, maybe you could get Raging Demon to hit first, or have the Round Harvest make it safe if they jump? Might be a fun gimmick.

the timing is strict because after the harvest they have like a small window to jump away

i like akuma but even tho he helps the rushdown he doesnt really help the zoning runaway for trish which is why im considering doom even tho i cant play doom for shit…i love akuma but dooms plasma helps the rushdown AND the zoning to a degree…Akuma’s tatsu is good plus he has the overhead i use for my round harvest akuma she hulk unblockable, im not changing the assist on Trish for my corner unblockable reset but im willin to experment with new things, i wanted someone with a good overhead if i was gonna swap out akuma but the only good overheads dont have a good assist to help shulk get in. Only problem i have with TRON on this team is she is only good in really close quarter combat, with akuma i can call him midscreen if needed to clear a path so shulk can get in, Tron cant really do that but she is DOMINATE up close so i guess it just all depends

I was in a similar situation as you. I really like akuma but he was not helping trish at all. I played Trish/Viper/Akuma and when Viper died I felt like the team became two seperate charcaters. So I ended up switching Akuma out for Dr. Doom. Currently im running two different teams:

Trish(Low Voltage)/Viper(Seismo)/Sentinel(Drones) and Trish(Low Voltage)/Viper(Burn Kick)/Doctor Doom(Hidden Missiles).

Hidden Missles is an insanely good assist for Trish. Not only does it help zone but it locks your opponent down giving you the chance to advance or go for round harvest setups. Hidden Missles Also Otgs. I thought this was really good as it has the benefit of the wesker assist minus hitting low as well as the sentinel assist. So overall I find Doctor Doom a great character to use with Trish. Also it would help ur she-hulk as you lock ur opponent down and you can advance and go crazy. He is really execution heavy but that can be fixed by just practicing him. But yea try Doctor Doom. I would definetly recommend this character for Trish

btw I was playing a friend online and after a hard knockdown I used round harvest and he was able to use Viper’s Emergency Combination to escape. Round harvest was still active and spinning but he wasnt taking any dmg. Does this happen with other lvl one supers?

Hidden Missiles is definitely good for Trish, for zoning, lockdown and combo extension. But Wesker’s assist is different in that it lets her combo after her air throw in many cases in addition to combo extension and unblockable setups. And while every so often you may catch an air throw into Hidden Missiles, it’s very rare.

I don’t find Hidden Missiles to be a very good lockdown assist for someone like She-Hulk because she can’t protect him. If someone sees Doom appear and they throw a beam super, he gets lit up and she just has to wait. Trish at least may be in the air and can respond with her own super, and her traps/normals help to keep him safer in general. And people probably won’t be trying to keep Trish out with lots of projectiles like they would She-Hulk which also makes calling Hidden Missiles at a range safer with her.

I do play a team with Trish/Dante/Doom that abuses Hidden Missiles because I think it’s the best combo extension assist for her, and it’s also a good skill check on the opponent. If they don’t know how to deal with it, they’ll just lose a lot.

I think that move has bonkers invuln or negates projectiles? Not sure, but it definitely doesn’t care about projectiles.

I agree with everything you said but like Kjunk posted she cant defend him at all so he is left open to take hits, This is why im considering the move to plasma beam i can zone AND it helps she hulk and it helps trish rushdown. As for the Round Harvest it seems to drop on anything that has invinciblity like vipers so yea its nothing out the normal but a lot of ppl arent resourceful or dont have man invincible level’s on there team so the guy you played was probably just really good and using his knoggin lol

^^Agreed, and Viper has tons of invincibility, well at least til she starts the verticle spinn on that hyper, i played viper awhile back and i cant tell u the number of punishes that moves i good for

True. It depends a lot on team composition I guess. For me Doom’s hidden missiles are better than wesker’s samurai edge as hidden missles helps viper since Viper is an all around good character who can zone and rush down. Since she-hulk is one dimensional(im assuming she is. plz correct me if I am wrong). You would want an assist that you do not have to worry about protecting as much ad hidden missiles. But yea plasma beam would really be good. Also have you thought about using amaterasu’s cold star or sentinel drones.

Im also wondering what other charcaters can stop round harvest. What about Spencer’s Bionic Arm?

She hulk is 1 dimensional, she just does so many good things in that one dimension like mixup and reset…i have thought about those too i have used sentinal but its hard to setup and unblockable with him and shehulk and ammy tho he is good at lockdown he doenst really help in the zoning department ALTHOUGH now dat i think about it he does have an instant air overhead so i may consider using him

I think spencers arm if timed right can go through it but i think the timing is difficult i will see if i can test this and get back to you on that.

When I first got MvC3 I tried running Tron/Dorm/Trish and never really put time into learning much with Trish (I found her to be a pretty boss anchor at the time, so I was content with that). Boy that was a mistake, Trish might be one of my favorite stand alone characters in this game, she reminds me so much of Testament it’s not even funny…

Now that I’ve ground this game to death my team composition changed entirely to Wesker/Trish/Mags, and that team is SICK. Low Shot unblockables/OTG blah blah blah (generic Wesker brokenness). EM Disruptor asst. is a stupid fast beam that is great for buying time to set up traps and chip your opponents sanity away when combined with Low Voltage/Round Harvest. And while none of Trish’s assists are stellar, Peekaboo is nice to prevent jump-outs while I’m rushing down/mixing up with Mags and Wesker.

Now what I’m unsure of though, is Wesker is obviously a great battery/point character, but do you think there’s a better set up for this team? All three characters can kind of do any role you need of them (part of what addicted me to them, lol). But would you say it’d be better to run Mags/Trish/Wesk etc. or what? I spent a lot of time messing around with different team compositions and this is the first one that’s really stuck well, so I’m just looking for some basic feedback.

Fun Fact: Tron/Dorm/Trish turned into Tron/Dorm/Doom and is maybe my favorite team in this whole game so far :smiley:

I would put Trish on point for that team so it would look more like Trish(Low Voltage or Peekaboo)/Wesker(Samuari Edge)/Magneto(Disruptor). I forgot who it was but I saw some dude pull this team off really well in the summer jam last weekend. In this team you can hard knockdown into round harvest and then call in magneto for an unblockable setup with wesker. Also wesker otg helps extend Trish’s combos. Disruptor also benefits both characters really really well.

On a side note is there an assist that helps Trish combo into Round Harvest and leaves the character standing. I was think Sentinel drones but im not sure what else works

You can check the video thread’s latest posts - the player’s name is RDK, and he’s the one who does the Trish/Mags/Wesker unblockables. Plenty of examples of it there.

Also I know Spencer’s diagonal grapple assist will let her combo into a Round Harvest on a standing opponent.

hmm im gona try something I have an ida where combo onto a standing opponent by hitin them with round harvest then tag in viper and continue a combo

Round Harvest into raw tag combos are awesome. I posted a few over in the video/combo threads using Hidden Missles and Dante to combo for days. I also found that it works well with Spencer and Spider-Man too because of their unprorated throw moves.

I use Wesker/Trish/Akuma still experimenting on it I know one reset into Wesker (air grab) But, does anyone any tricks/tips/setups/resets for Wesker and Trish?

Using Wesker with Trish Peekaboo assist, you place the trap so an incoming character activates it after they fall in. As Wesker, you just dash or teleport forward as they fall in so it’s a hard-to-see left/right mix-up. Be sure not to place it too close to the corner or they’ll activate it immediately before you have a chance to get behind them. You want it just slightly away from the edge.

Also after a super long combo, if you end with an :df::h: OTG shot into a Peekaboo assist, the Peekaboo “hold” will end almost instantly which lets you throw them earlier than it would normally seem.

I like those 3 characters but prefer the Trish/Wesker/Akuma order.

Trish can end combos with a Round Harvest unblockable setup by raw tagging into Akuma and using Wesker’s Low Shot to hit them high/low at the same time. It’s hot.

I play Chris/Trish/Amaterasu. Admittedly not the best synergized team, and not particularly built around Trish either. When Chris gets ko’ed I have Trish left with Cold Star assist and honestly it works really great. If building a team around Trish specifically I think an OTG assist benefits her more, but Cold Star helps her create some really annoying keepaway when wanted and some devestating corner pressure. I’ve locked people in the corner with that and done dive kick cancels, instant overheads, iad H or S and it looks annoying as hell to deal with.

You could also try laying trishes traps above where an oppenent would recover and then going for the over head since most ppl when they see the traps on wake up tend to crouch its a perfect setup for insurance you could go for crouchin l to overhead. The round harvest unblockable is pretty hot but i find landing it outside the corner to be difficult.

Edit: If im not mistaken you should be able to setup a raging demon off of trishes traps, can someon confirm whether attacks and movement is possible after her trap
