If another comes out halfway through Evo season again, I’d be pretty pissed.
Ofcourse I didn’t mean anything negative, and ofcourse we all at times have difficulty blocking. It was just easier, and more familiar to everyone that we americans need to block more, rather than proposing that our defensive options are quite lacking. Ofcourse poor defensive choices can include blocking so much that your guard bar build-up allows you to lose 50% of your health from any ol’ BnB combo, or easily get thrown, etc.
It comes from when some of us asked Mint and Ruu at Evo 2k6 what America’s biggest issue was at the time. It was kind of misinterpreted after a while, but what they said was that America needs to know when to attack properly and when to defend.

Eh it affects some things situationally (namely Zappa, I love doing K, S only to have S whiff even if hes blocking high lol) but yeah overall its not a big deal.

Yeah, maybe if this were Slash I could understand Hatred Edge’s petty hate, but he’s been complaining ever since he started and it hasn’t stopped. It bet just because they have swords that give them longer reach than the swords that both Sols, whom he has said he’s played as, have. I’m surprised that he doesn’t hate Faust either, but that’s probably because no one really uses him (just like Axl) for some reason.
It can’t possibly be because they’re “A-Rank”. Ky’s pretty medicore now, even if his pressure is still great. And Johnny…he’s probably the worst character in the game…and yet I know that I’ve lost to him a bunch of times because I fought a good player who is better than myself. (The guy can also use I-no competently, which should say something.)

I’m talking about more specific stuff than P or D against jumping attacks and K against ground-based attacks.

Potemkin and Eddie are faggots in this game mainly because they can impose what they want on you without you really being able to do much about it. Oh, I got a knockdown? UNBLOCKABLE.
Unblockables just shouldn’t be in games period. I don’t like not being able to do anything about what’s about to happen. Especially shit with pot, it doesn’t even take any skill. slide head -> combo -> Reflector -> Slide head -> combo -> reflector -> slide head -> combo -> wake up. That is dumb.
But as for the rest of the cast, they’re hardly that bad. What can slayer or testament do to you as long as you guess right / react right on blocking? The top tier isn’t so bad outside of eddie.
As for eddie…the whole 2 characters, 1 player thing just breaks characters. Look at AH. THE SAME CHARACTER IS TOP TIER. Eddie is just tiny and has a vagina in arcana. They need to stop making characters like that in general.
