Why can’t Sol and Order-Sol win? I’ve seen Juicy G win two tournies now with his HOS. I play his as my secondary, so I wanna know why/how he fails.
Henaki, are you serious? Do you really think the only reason he went up in tiers from Slash to AC is a change in one match? Pot got tons of good shit added in this game.
Edit: Just to clarify, I’m not saying he’s broken or too good, but he is a very strong character in AC.

A little heads up for you in case you didn’t know. Kaqn/kakyun is one of the best HOS players around if not THE best HOS player. When AC came out he had a 50+ winning streak. Not to long ago Kakyun and Ogawa(Best eddie) faced off for 50 MATCHES. You wanna know the results?
50 matches: Wins Losses
Ogawa: 42 8
Kakyun/Kaqn: 8 42
You ever wonder why HOS vs Zappa matches are so few in number? Or how about HOS vs Bridget? Or HOS BEATING Chipp in a match? Haven’t you been watching Kaqn/Kakyun vs Buppa?Have you not seen how HOS STRUGGLES? Hey where are the HOS vs Potemkin matches? Or how about HOS vs Faust?
Look, I’m not saying HOS fails. He’s pretty good. But some of these matchups are so damn one-sided it’s bullshit. Go ahead say it: “There are some great players.” Whatever. It’s just you’re gonna have a hard time getting me to believe HOS can beat Zappa or Johnny.

I use sb to help stop Ky/Venom projectile rushes, actually helps a lot. Don’t know about much other than that.

It worries me how quickly some of you went from “in Guilty Gear, any character can win!” to “a solid mid or upper mid character like Order-Sol is borderline useless in tournaments when top tiers exist” if I’m remembering some of those posts correctly. Must be an American thing. Not that I’m good enough for tiers to even matter, but are there any Japanese players who consider Slayer to be top tier? I hope not.

so because videos of a certain matchup (out of potential hundreds) dont show up a character sucks even though hes debatably better than 50% of the characters.
and ogawa vs kaqn 42 to 8 proves jack shit besides ogawa plays a character with a minor advantage over kaqn and could, in fact, gasp be a better player.
i also dont think one match made potemkin that much better (he got about as good as everyone else with their upgrades, slightly better than say, johnny and such), but that was the majority of the reason, he cant be counterpicked anymore, which is a huge huge help and alone almost worth a tier up in a game like gg where counterpicks are almost non-existant. however, thats must my opinon, bridget and even dizzy were really bad matchups for pot until they got the shittier ac upgrades. potemkin was arguably even with every single character in slash besides those two really, i mean, fuck, he went even with Ky.

Is it possible to do a (start midscreen) jump in slash -> HS-> Dubious Curve H ball -> FRC -> Teleport to H ball -> air HS to hit the ball, bounce it off the ground, hit the person while they are still in stunned slide mode…
I had a casual match today and we trying to do one of those “Jordan commercial” like bs…(for example: off the wall, hits the cat… nothing but net) only the GG version

I’m having hella trouble using Slayer against characters who can fill the screen with stuff. Dizzy and Testament being the two that have the most stuff on-screen at one time. WTF.
Hatred Edge, can you explain why these matchups are bad for Order-Sol without pointing to Japanese matches or some Japanese matchup chart (most of these that US players have access to are hell of outdated BTW)
I’m not saying learning from the Japanese is a bad thing but you really need to be able to back up your statements with some kind of rhetoric and an understanding of what’s going on in the metagame and why certain decisions are being made a certain way… especially when we start pointing to Ogawa matches. Ogawa is the best and has all kinds of legendary winstreak feats so he’s always going to make the game look worse than it is in my opinion.
Like you’re talking about HOS vs. Bridget like it’s some sort of one-sided rape match, and unless there’s some amazing trick Bridget is capable of (i.e. hit punch and HOS has a heart attack) that I don’t know about that’s a matchup that I’d say is 5/5, or maybe more like 5.5/4.5 in Bridget’s favor. I just want to know why, like as a legitimate curiosity.
BTW, sometimes the whole reason certain vids get put up is because they’re anomalies (see “oh my god, Potemkin actually beat Bridget” in previous games) or because one of the players did something really fly.
