GGXX:Accent Core Thread! [AMERICAN PS2 RELEASE, GO GO GO!]

Millia’s 2D is -1. +10 if S Tandem FRC.

I don’t think Millia really needs to build guard meter. Since once she gets a knockdown, she keeps getting knockdowns. But, like orka, I don’t play Millia competitively, so shrug.

Run away alot. Squeeze out a random projectile, if they let you. Eventually you will get a random knockdown. Knockdown lets you do that thing that Dizzy players do that leads back in to knockdown. Hope they don’t block that thing that Dizzy players do.

I guess that’s kinda true. I’ll workonit when I get home if I don’t get tempetd by the SNK devil.

holy shit… -1? did it get better than it was in slash?

the general concept you need to keep in mind with dizzy is that she is not good at squaring off with the opponent face-to-face. the general priority with her is to get in a situation/position where it’s safe for her to summon a projectile on the screen (usually spear or h fish)… then make your move or keep zoning until the opponent becomes impatient and make a mistake.

however, she actually does have a set of moves that are actually pretty good in close range situations if you know how to utilize them:

  • 2k and 5k are both good pokes to fish around for random hits. 2k is mainly what she uses to poke the opponent out of loose pressure strings.

  • 6p is also a good move to toss out in anticipation. the speed and hitbox is unchanged from slash, but the move now launches the opponent across the screen on hit everytime. this makes it safer for dizzy to toss the move out more frequently, as she is less punishable when it trades. if it connects, you can either go into a ice spike combo from 5s/s.f… or cancel into a spear or a fish (which is what i usually do).

  • dizzy’s ground throw is one of the best in the game, considering the variety of options it gives her, on top of it’s long range. a single throw can turn the match in your favor if you play the cards right.

  • 2s is one of the best anti-air normals in the game. its has a very tall hit box, yet dizzy’s hittable hit box is very low to the ground. it will beat a lot of jump-ins if you time it correctly, but you shouldn’t toss it out too much since it will leave her completely vulnerable when she whiffs it. also, it can’t beat certain moves… like bandit bringer and chipp’s j.h. 2s can only clash with them at best.

  • necro’s anger is a great wake-up reversal. you can also use it to beat jump-ins as well to bait some specials like pile bunker and jam’s hayppo-shinshou.

yeah, to whomever was talking about A.B.A, she doesn’t really rely on FRCs at all. Her only necessary one is the one at the end of her Rekka (236S -> 46S -> 63214S FRC).

Actually, for aba her aerial 41236S FRC is very important too.

IMPORTANT to ALL PEOPLE NEW TO GG: For anybody who is having trouble with FRC’s go to the start menu in training mode and then go down to “Display.” Change the setting to either “input” or “both.” Go back to training mode. When you perform an FRCable move, the bar that tells you your inputs will flash blue. That is the FRC point of the move!!!

Coo. Thanks.

Dude, I really appreciate that. Its helped me alot. Should I learn to FRC by sight or sound or just by motions and time?

sight and rythmn

It really depends on the move. Some frc’s are easy to perform by visual cues. I’ve only heard of a few being performed by the sound of the move (Dizzy’s Ice Spike for example), and some just become second nature when you get comfortable with doing them constantly which falls into timing and muscle memory sort of.

YOU STOLE MY TIP!!! I’LL KILL YOUUUUUU!!! ARARAOIHFAODWFNALF

/zoidberg rage.

 Just claim the select button resets training mode was yours then.

Two questions:

  1. Anyone want specific characters for me to youtube? (6hr breaks on campus = fail)

  2. When Tk’ing something, is there any other technique that can be used instead of 236[7/8/9]?

A.B.A. !!!

I’m gonna pick up Venom.
Anything I need to know b4 I start?

you gotta be able to work well with balls and a stick

1.Millia

  1. I used to do 8,236 really fast and I got the same effect, but I think the TK motion is the easiest/fastest method.

EDIT- henkai- you forgot no homo
