GGXX:Accent Core Thread! [AMERICAN PS2 RELEASE, GO GO GO!]

what you need to keep in mind is that it’s called TK (tiger knee) for a reason. so there’s no real way of avoiding the 2369 and 2147 motions.

no matter what the total motion of the move is, that part is essential.

if it’s a dp-motion, then the 4 or 6 comes after the tk motion… as in 23696 or 21474. the same goes for something like aerial potemkin buster, in which you will be performing 632147 then 6.

however, you can actually do a “360 degree” motion for the aerial potemkin buster instead, and the game will still recognize it as 6321476. this is actually how most people perform aerial potemkin buster in combos, as it’s easier to buffer in the motion than consciously doing a 6321476 input.

for example: anti-air 6p > jp > jk > “360 motion” d

it works like magic.

I was wondering cause it seemed like I was missing a motion for TK’ed ensega when I used to use Jonhhy.

all you need to do is 412369

your motion is probably not clean enough

Most likely. Good thing you’re coming to NEC.

Jap player experience = massive amounts of lvl’ing up.

you play gg now too oh good

i’m japanese but i suck at games, just to let you know

you’re better off relying on the other japanese guy in east coast… (although i hear he doesn’t like sharing info or strats with anybody)

Marline Pie?

Yea thats the rumor. but I’m hoping to get back into GG. Last one I touched was #R

If you guys are looking for character specific videos, just look through some of burningvigor’s videos on youtube. I’m sure you’ll find a lot.

no he shares certain information with certain people (aka anyone he’s actual friends with), but that’s about the extent of it (he gives me some specific shit if i ask, example: he told me about 6k hammerfall before anyone knew about it in america, that’s really about it though). he’s gotta pay his cell phone bills somehow.

HE IS A MYSTERIOUS MAN.

ALL HAIL THE ROBOTIC OVERLORD:lol:

So, what exactly is close S? Does it mean that I have to be within a certain range to hit it and continue the combo? Yeah, lots of questions. Sorry. =/

every character has 2 different types of slashes depending on distance

its exactly the same as a capcom game, the move changes if you’re close or far.

the only difference is all close slashes chain into far ones.

Slayers only true gattling :rofl::rofl::rofl:

One more I-No question since I’ve been watching random vids lately. I also tried asking this in the other thread about 2 months back (and never got a definite awnser), but what’s the deal with Japanese players doing I-No’s air dash out of her normal dash almost instantly? I find it really hard to believe that it’s just going 6,6,6,6. Especially since I’ve seen other Japanese players air dashing later (unlike say, Koichi, who usually does it instantly), and there is no animation of her falling between her normal dash, and her air dash.

If I’m not making sense, this is what I’m talking about. 12 seconds into the video.

well, im still new to I-No, but basically, you have to let the dash go enough into the air that you can airdash. If you tap 6, 6, 6, 6, your just gonna hop a bit forward and land. Its more like, 6, 6(hold), 6, 6. You just have to find the timing.

The only thing you can do instantly from her dash is jump, which is pretty awesome because of the momentum she gets (most characters have to start running a few frame before they can jump that distance).

Hope that helps, and sorry if im wrong (someone correct me i guess)

It’s incredibly easy if you do the following input:

66(hold)96, without returning to neutral!

That’s forward, tap and hold forward, then quickly shift from forward into up-forward, then forward one last time.

It’s the equivalent of running into an IAD with any other character, really. You’re just doing it quickly after the run.

If you perform it like this, the timing becomes much easier. So easy, in fact, you’ll do it as fast as Koichi. Just practice it a lot to work on your speed, it’s one of the easier things to learn with her that is construed as being difficult.

now that i think about it its fucking weird that potemkin has more chains than slayer lol

What are good ways to practice with charge moves? I’ve been trying to apply the charge buffer / partition stuff from 3rd Strike threads I think I am not doing it right.

I am trying to do Venom’s CR ball setups… So to venom players… when you “keep the charge” do you tap down, do a move, tap etc… or are you constantly buffering it during dashing? (can you hold down forward then up S to execute it)?
