@Katra: If you still have fun with Anji then you don’t have to switch. May be hard to win with but if the butterflies fit your style then stick with him.

Honestly, there are a lot of characters with pretty weak damage output without meter that are ranked anywhere from somewhat to a LOT better than Anji (Ky, Millia to an extent, Dizzy, but she’s fairly low too). From what I’ve seen, Anji’s real weak spot is his inability to get his offense going. His autoguard got nerfed, and he doesn’t have any super-fast or very invincible moves to rely on, making his pressure game either gimmicky or oki-reliant (Which means you have to score a random knockdown, which can be hard). Honestly, I think Slayer and Pot are the only characters whose damage output really defines their tier placement, and even then, their ability to GET that damage is really what makes them shine.
But that’s just my opinion based on observing Anji matches. I’m sure someone who actually plays the character would be a more reliable source on this issue.

The difficulty in playing I-No comes from learning to do Chemical Love FRC canceled into a dash. Once you’ve mastered that, she’s pretty basic, as all you really have to do is trap your opponent with notes and mix-up like a a crazed motherfucker.
Anybody know where I can find a list of character colors other than trial and error?

bacchus sigh makes mist finer unblockable, but it johnny takes longer to do it AC then in previous versions, making it a somewhat risky move to use.

Yes, wonderful. Unless you have experience in competitive Smash, you really shouldn’t be arbitrarily putting down entire gaming communities. Smash actually has a legit fanbase (represented at EVO), and has as many tournaments as any other fighter out there. And if you actually played the game, you’d realize that it’s engine is about as well-conceived as GG’s is. . .it’s a great fighting game, it just happens to be untraditional.

A general question, but. . .what the heck do I do with all of these yo-yo sets? I’m watching vids, and it seems like 4HS is for when I want to set up corner lockdown after knockdown, 7HS is for Roger Get unblockable setups. . .is this the right idea?

What’s j.5HS for? I heard it was important for mixup/crossover (which was why people were upset when it wasn’t in the Japanese PS2 version), but I have no idea how it’s supposed to be used.

What’s Bridget’s main means of dealing damage? Am I supposed to be going for his aerial BnB combos (j.S, j.2S, dj.S, dj.2S, dj.623P), and if so, what kind of setups should I be using. . .because I’m doing FRC starship -> 6S, and 2D RC -> 5K -> 6S; is this right? Or should I be aiming for basic gatling combos leading to knockdown -> 6HS/4HS -> Roger Rush oki + mixup -> more gatling combos?

And I use to. And I’ve been to several tourneys and he hasn’t.
He’s one of those people who will disagree with shit just to be different, he says he hates marvel but it’s all he plays.
But yeah, I agree Smash is a great game…it just needs some more representation…fighting community wise and Evo helped it out a lot.

. . .you’re right. I wasn’t aware that I had massive spelling errors and used all caps in my previous post while desperately begging for advice. Clearly, I am in the wrong.
I’m posting questions precisely because 1) the answers are not on the front page, and 2) dustloop info, while helpful, tends to be disorganized, occasionally unreliable, and sifting through 20 pages of random banter to find one minutia of helpful info isn’t a pleasant experience for anyone. As other people have already noted.
