sorry for bad quality:rolleyes:

^Nice DJ. You could have shut some of his offense down if you used cr.fp or st cl/far.mp for AA’s. He was abusing you when you didn’t have charge. I think st cl/far.mp is the better choice because it also beats Guy’s cross up Elbow drops. The far and close st.mp beats his jumpins clean. You also missed punishing alot of his slides. In that situation Cr.lp is the most consistant punish. Follow it up with cr. mk and start the vortex or MGU.

And was he crouch teching or mashing during your bloch strings?

we played million times in every fighting games
so we know each other very good, thats why he know what im doin. same as me
maybe thats a problem =D

thx for advices

these are a few matches i played online(which i hate lol), i appreciate some criticism on any bad habits you guys find .
i start talking to my brother after a few vids so ignore that.

Your Dee Jay reminds me of mine when I dont play on autopilot (online against actual decent people).

vid 6 is me on auto pilot doing stupid stuff sorry for that one.

Anyone got any Abel help for me?

Dhalsim too. I won but man is he a bitch. There are a few things i know but man…

@deleye

I can tell you some things I think may help you out if you can incorporate them into your game more (you’re already a very solid Dee Jay though.) I’m just a casual player, but these are some things I use with success that you might also be able to use.

  • Far st. mp is actually a solid anti-air. It’s useless in some matches (I want to say Bison, Cammy & Cody have jump ins that beat it) but excellent in others. If you can bait people into jumping, it can get you some free damage when you don’t have time to slide AA. You seem comfortable with Max Out’s already, so it shouldn’t be too hard to bait people into eating a far st. mp.

  • You cross-up a lot. Dee Jay obviously relies on it a lot, but it can get a little predictable. If you work on hiding it (Ambiguous Cross Up), it can really confuse your opponent. Knee shots are excellent for setting up an ambiguous cross up since they change your dropping point. Also, I like to throw in some safe empty jump’s, land and throw every once in a while to keep them guessing.

  • I noticed some dropped combos (you were hitting his BnB more consistently against Vega in round two though.) If you can land them more often, that means an un-techable knockdown (which means setting up Dee Jay’s ambiguous cross up.)

  • I’d recommend using cr. lk more often, especially when outside of cr. jab range. Cr. lk can actually be a useful poke, and it’s cancel-able. I use it and st. lk to catch Ryu cr. mk’s. It’s also useful after an air-to-air jab or knee shot -> land -> cross-under -> cr. lk. x4. It does over 100 damage and gets people a lot since it must be blocked low. I already saw you do air-to-air knee shot -> land -> cross-under -> cr. jab, so you probably already do this.

  • Close standing MK is a useful move, since it can be combo-ed into from a cr. jab and out of into another st. mk, cr. jab, or knockdown cr. mk. Same thing, maybe just incorporate it into your rushdown. Far st. MK is like a generic Bison st. mk. It’s another decent poke option I didn’t see you use much. Roundhouse is a little slow, but I use it somewhat successfully for catching people jumping back.

  • You seem to mostly go for the cr. mk combo ender, which is fine. However, if you have a charge & 1/4 of your meter stored, I’d throw in some EX. Machine Gun Upper combos (Either EX Sobat or HK Jacknife Up Kicks.) Are you comfortable with linking cr. jabs into cr. mp? Cr. mp is also cancel-able.

  • Attempt to throw more often to get in your opponent’s head. I like to dash on their wake-up and throw. Then later, I’ll dash in again on wake-up, then quickly dash back (they’ll often miss a reversal-type move) and I get a free punish. Some moves and ultra’s can punish your backdash, though.

  • Use lp. Max Outs to start more rushdown strings (especially after a knockdown.) Lp. Max Out -> FADC is good for pressure on wake up. You can also lp. Max Out from near full screen, then dash and catch people trying to jump over it with an Anti-Air normal. I noticed a lot of lp. Max Outs against gief. It was working against that particular player, but most gief’s will look out for and punish that. Changing up the speed of your fireball is a little mind-game within the game.

  • Corner your opponent. If you have U2, they’ll play very defensively. I get a ton of free throws and anti-air st. mp’s due to them being afraid of U2 combos. One knee shot in the corner and they’ll be eating U2. Also if you knock them down in the corner and are able to charge in time, don’t be afraid to try cr. jab xx EX MGU. It’s kind of like Rose’s cr. jab xx HP Reflect combo in the corner: if you land either of them, you get a free Ultra 2. If you miss, you probably won’t be punished due to the fast recovery (you just lose 1/4 of your super meter.) You can use this often after a throw, since they might expect it again and try to tech it.

Again, I’m sure you’re almost light-years ahead of me, but sometimes others can see things that you might not. These are just some things I noticed.

**@Porter **

From my experience, I think knee shot beats wheel kick, though a good Abel isn’t going to throw them out often. I don’t play enough Abel’s to remember much else. I know I also use either st. lp or st. mp to stuff wheel kicks as well, but I forget which one. Also, I’m just a casual player.

Thanks for the tip.

I got a few Viper matches (3+), Rose Match, and a Guile match to upload after school today…

I think Vs. Abel it’s pretty much rush or be rushed. Chances are whoever gets that first knockdown is going to win.

Abel’s probably the best anti-zoning character in the game, trying to keep him away with fireballs or by walking backwards won’t really work, and will likely just get you killed. He’s too mobile and once he gets next to you he can insure that you take damage.

Even for all his mobility he can’t fly all over you as he would like. St. mp (far or close) will beat out a lot of his jump-ins, and if he’s rolling all over the place trying to close ground step forward and throw him out of it. And like most of Deejay’s matches you want to avoid the close-mid range. Abel doesn’t outright demolish us in footsies as bad as Fei Long or Chun, but still you don’t want to be hit by his step kick at all.

I played this match-up a lot towards the start of Super and I generally spend this round doing a gigantic amount of nothing. Just walking back and forth feinting, and waiting for him to do something that I can turn into a knockdown to start my mix-up. And at the same time trying to avoid being hit by a step kick or caught off guard by a roll. Also it’s a really good idea to get OS throw down off your jump-ins to make Abel respect your mix-up.

And it’s also good to know that Abel’s air to airs are stupid good. If you’re playing an Abel and having a lot of air to air exchanges you should just use the knee shot.

Rushing in has actually worked for me before, but when he gets brainless it’s a wrap…

Was kind of hard to figure out how to fight Oni, eh? He’s got alot of weird movements and he takes hits extremely well. What made me a bit angry was that there is no way to tell if his fireball had one hit or more, which is like regular Akuma but it seems like this dudes projectiles all look the same.

Though, that U2 Shoryuken is ridiculous. It makes the Yun and Yang ultra’s look like kiddie shit because he does some over the top sky splitting dragon punch.

These two new characters look like what a 13 year old would sit down and think is really cool. I mean, I’d probably use Oni for a minute just to see what he’s like, but the glowing aura’s, the over the top cinematics, its like they want to ruin Street Fighters integrity with nonsense.

There is really no one but the other counterpart (E. Ryu or Oni) that they can fight at this point and it look serious. Which sucks balls.
