Me and Veit have played a couple of times before. and he bodies me normally. but it was different this time for some reason.
So, after approximately 18 months, 0shinakuma0’s channel finally featured a Deejay player.

I haven’t seen this guy before. I’ll pry do some searching on youtube for other vids. But i wasn’t exactly blown away by what i saw in this match.
I know you have to guess sometimes in the Bison matchup, but that doesn’t excuse the use of gimmicks. He tried the blocked EX MGU into U1, which didn’t work. His blocked mk sobat into EX sobat did work however. I’ve never seen that before so it was kinda interesting. But the problem with gimmicks like that is you can only use them once per opponent.
I’m not sure why he was sticking out cr. shorts while trapped in the corner. Is there something about cr. short that helps against Bison? Or was he just mashing stuff?
Also, at 0:33 he was incredibly lucky to land that level 3 focus. That was probably the worst possible position/range to attempt that.
But despite all that, his Deejay is still probably better than mine lol.

Dieminion is good but in the deejay match he doesn’t do anything i wouldn’t expect from a guile player.
To hit Guile with walk ultra, your walk has to be perfect or he has to be close to a corner. Dash is a necessity in this match if you’re down in life.
Great matches jcool! Nothing really exciting until the vega; they were all quite outmatched. Even the 10k hakan seemed terrified like he never saw a dj cross up in his life.

apart from dropping the dash U2, which obviously no one is going to blame you for, I just noticed two things.

He got you with dive shenanigans a couple of times and successfully baited out an EX upkicks, which he could have easily punished hard.

You need to find a solid answer to his turnaround kick guessing game when he lands right in front of you and goes 50-50 between throws and pokes. You tried lk upkicks in the first round but that only works if he’s not crouching. I’m not sure what the best solution is… backdashing will still get poked, and none of DJ’s specials seem useful. Focus backdashing might work, as might neutral jump? Idk, just ideas, I’m awful at the Vega matchup.

Ya dieminion didn’t know the match yet. He’s been in the lab since then, I’ll post up some new ones vs him so people can seehow hard that match really is against a top guile that really knows what’s up.
On a side note I made it my goal to be the #1 deejay by my bday and yesterday was my bday and I am #1 yay. I’m gonna post the last 2 ranked games that put me over the top late tonight.

Forget MP try MK. As in jumping. You seemed way too wary of Blanka’s wakeup options that match and never applied any wakeup pressure all game long. Blanka has great wakeup it’s true but that doesn’t mean you should just let him stand up for free every time you get that untechable knockdown.

Frame data says blanka’s cr.fierce is -10 on block and -4 on hit. So it should be quite punishable on block.
You could see how Viscant changed his gameplan after the first round. When you can make blanka lame it out you’re doing it right.
I’m interested to know if using knee shot to shorten your jump at the end could have potentially saved you from the chip. Maybe knee shot into roundhouse upkicks to stay over it? Nice punish at the end of the first round though, damn good stuff.
Xavior, I had trouble with knee shot… and besides practicing there’s not much I can suggest to help you. However, if you wanna practice, it helps to pick up seth and go into training and just do his stomp bnb (cr.fierce second hit cancel into lp.shoryu, stomps, divekick). I tried playing seth for a week or so and practicing his combos into instant stomps really helped my knee shot execution. Not REALLY practicing knee shot but it helped me. Pay particular attention to the divekick. The stomps will come out from any down, but the divekick will only come out if you’re in down. This’ll help you become more aware of why/how you’re screwing up knee shot. If the stomp doesn’t come out you’re not in any down, if the divekick doesn’t then you were in df or db.

very nice match. Pity it turned out the way it did. I have such trouble with Blanka. I will be poring over that match again later to see how you managed yourself. 
It is punishable and it’s generally a good idea to FADC backwards if you’re going to use it as a poke at that range, where you’re striking more with the elbow than the fist. The reason that I was doing it was because that day I was working on a particular mixup, low fierce FADC FORWARD into short/elec/throw/U1 (didn’t have it vs. Dee Jay). Because he was teching me pretty well, I figured he would see yellow and frame trap himself into low short xx fierce elec for a cute little mixup.
I just have that world class execution to blow it spectacularly twice in the span of 2 rounds.
