Honda. should have used more fireballs because he had the wrong ultra.

Rufus. missed a small punish but nothing major that i remember. don’t forget the spacing for dreads. i would actually like to see more mgu but you’re doing great without it. learn when you can upkick after slide. you caught rufus pretty high. nothing major about this match. just nitpicking b/c you want comments lol

Ken. do you plink? if no than you might want to start. you missed a couple of links. try not to miss the link to cr. mk because that’s vital to keep your riddim. i don’t see where you mashed but i see where he did lp srk x2 which is ridiculous and one of the reasons i stopped playing HDR online. It needs a recovery nerf.

Cody. i do not like how you played this. you should have crossed him up on his wake up everytime. Cody can’t do much about it. When he knocked you down you should have kept your down charge because he neutral jumped pretty early and did an attack guaranteeing free upkicks. you also shouldn’t have blocked his cross up after the ultra. cody will destroy deejay in footsies so you have to put cody on his back which is his weakest point. Nice super cancel at the end! You could have perfected him the second match but you blocked the ultra, so i’m kind of mad lol not sure if you could have jumped out. can’t let that ultra go unpunished.

Honda 2. This match made me mad because you were doing good at first, but messed up. Should have used ex upkicks if/when you have the down charge. If you would have done that the two chances you had the fight would have been over at round 2. Towards the end of the fight you finally start spamming the fireballs which is good. you basically handed the third round over because you didn’t stick to what was working and walked yourself into the danger zone for deejay. . .the corner shudders
maybe too much jumping in that match. if you eat to many headbutts than stop jumping.

Ken 2. don’t back dash ex hurricane. you can cr. fp, slide or sweep when he lands (i think) if you catch somebody with the sweep high and have down charge do for the upkicks, but im glad you didn’t because the fight was done and ken has good punishes. you let the air tatsu beat you but just do your upkicks later next time. i do not like the wake up sobats b/c he wasn’t spamming cr. mk. You did this twice overall: when an ex is coming at you don’t fireball it back. Just jump.

Viper. i know this match up very well because i’m bestfriends with the best viper in CT. All sobats are safe until she gets ultra. then only lk and mk are safe. You have to tell when your opponent is not afraid to wake up srk or anything like that. Everyone in the lobby including viper was waking up with a special move. Bait and punish. DO NOT let viper seismo and sjc burn kick to get close. upkick if she does it it late and mk upkick if she does it too early. Second round was much better. you made great improvements on the fly. Baited this viper on wake up. upkicking the jump ins. cr. fierce at the end was an ! for me lol if you’re going to chip at the end go for the ex dreads instead of ex fireball. you could have taken less dmg in the third but it was still good. should have punished the wake up hp tk with an mgu combo or sweep.

Naw, I get that as a Cammy player. I used to air to air hit them and would be able to walk under to start a new combo, which evolved into dash cannon spike, which got messy because sometimes the dash would auto correct and I would get punished.

Your DJ is sick and you killing them with the links. But against characters like Cody,Guile,Makoto,Rufus (without meter) or any other character with a bad wakeup game, go for the knockdown instead of the big combo. Make them guess over and over until they get it right.

Also if you have a good lead with 3-4 bars against any Shoto, lame it out. There is nothing they can do. Just stay in range to punish fireballs w/ex sobait, upkick jump ins and watchout for hurricane kicks and demon flips.

Against Viper… RTSD!!! She can’t take pressure.

Against Honda use your fireballs more. You know that you can upkick or U2 honda after a slide?

My local Vipers like to turtle hard… I learned it from playing them as cammy =(. I’ll try a different means next time though.

Man I hate guile…

why do deejay players say this all the time, in hdr this is my fav match up of all time,besides Gouken vs Ryu. To me its 5-5 can go either way. Cant wait for them them fix his slide(make it faster like hdr) and faster max outs and change UC2 to a b,f,bf, charge. and a lil more prioirty on his normals. this is all dj needs. umm oh wait a slight dmg boost to like 10% should be fine.

Guile-Deejay is absolutely a 6-4 in SSF4.
His booms are better than your slashers.
His EX booms are WAY better than your EX slashers.
His EX Booms can pay off and are worth the meter (unlike Deejay).
His Boom recovery is so fast that all of Deejay’s fireball punishers are useless (slide, EX Sobat, U1, well-timed jump)
He has st. Fierce, backfist, overhead, other good command normals, Deejay has knee shot.
His Flash Kick hits low, has great horizontal reach, and starts up in 4 frames (which means no sobats allowed)
He has an Ultra that he can just throw out there for chip damage without much risk, or FADC into it
Speaking of FADC, he can cover his ass when he feels like busting out an FK on wakeup
He has an air-throw that is so good i wouldn’t be surprised if it worked on the ground too

i still think, and think its not as bad ass people make it seem even with all that deejay can still fight it out from full screen. i see that fight as whoever gets the lead and lames it out wins. Only problem ive had that oviously ex boom keeps and give guile that comeback factor at times, so much pressure just NJ and just try to have him waste meter fuck it. With a few adjustments deejay will be 1000xxx better that guile, cant wait to see his changes. hope there some what near his old st/hdr from. that game to me hes hands down better.

FYI: tiers dont always mean shit, iam hoping they fix Deejay so he can be better on on the same level as guile, give his ex slash/or max out same speed and recovery as guiles fuck it. racist ass capcom lol

It’s really a bad matchup. I’m not talking about the average online scrub who runs away and throw booms and flash kick everytime you get close. Those are the easy Guiles. The good Guiles will dominate you with their normals and they know how to punish all of your specials. You have to make to many guesses and Guile doesn’t have to make any at all. He can just boom it out and react. The recovery on Guiles Sonic booms is DeeJay’s biggest problem.

wheather it be a 6-4 guile of 5-5… i still think deejay can still win, its not that bad of a so called up hill battle like other match ups. my fav match up so it dotn bother me to fight good guile, i like fight guile’s. Deejay/Gouken zone and lame it out all day. god dammit i need a new box, sux not being able to play

Thanks muay but I would say dc hustle is definitely one of the better rogs out there, he tried to dash ultra me but was too far, it wouldve hit me fully had i thrown a fierce fireball tho. And everyone misses opportunities sometimes it happens, but i didnt see his miss any opponrtunites to headbutt ultra me in that match

Guile match is definitely 6-4 guile but i do well in it against top guiles, against the better guiles u have to walk them down and not knee shot in as much cause that anti air damage is not fun.

I’ll be puttin some more vids up today probably a mix of new stuff and old stuff, ill see how many bison vids i got since everyone hates that match and I think its about even with slight advantage to bison. I actually wanna record a set against dbjoseph if thats possible to see if I can do anything different against him.

these came out shittier quality than the other ones but still good matches.

I used to cosign Guile’s Sonic Boom recovery being the problem in that match, but I now feel like his Sonic Boom recovery could be left alone, and with a small buff to Deejay that match would be much more even. I can deal with avoiding the fireball war, and I can even deal with not being able to punish his fireballs from most ranges on the screen. I just think the real nonsense in that match is that Deejay has little to no safe options. If he had just one safe option, be it a special or a poke (safe sobats plz) that match would be so much better. If anything I think the Flash Kick is the biggest bitch in that match since it punishes everything, with Guiles normals being second.

This is all just my personal opinion though.

lk sobat can be safe against guile, i dont think i was playin very well against dieminion this mornin, im usually more solid but heres our last match, i played him a lot more but he was using guy a lot of the time

I couldnt get an mgu out to save my life in this one, shoulda had the match but i let him out the corner and made dumb decisions in the fireball war in the end.

Verify, it looks like some of your blockstrings could be reversal’d. At least I always eat something when I go for similar strings, but then again I don’t play anyone decent who knows not to take risks like that.
