I think Deejay, in general, does pretty low damage anyhow compared to the rest of the cast. I can’t seem to find good high damaging combos or punishes without charge. It’s like all sweep back into mix ups.
Off a meaty jumpin you can always get enough charge for c.jab, c.jab, mashed HP MGU if it’s meterless or EX MGU for followups like a guaranteed Ultra in the corner. Another damaging option would be c.jab c.jab c.strong xx Sobat, but the one frame link might not be what you want. A pretty good combo is c.jab c.jab c.jab xx EX Fireball, EX Sobat, but it costs 2 meters and doesn’t work in the corner. You can of course exchange some of the jabs for something else.
If you are just going to sweep anyway you could put in at least 3 light normals on most characters before the sweep if you are doing the vortex. Crouching jab is the lowest damaging option and should be used as the last move before the sweep to ease the link. c.short and cl.jab or cl.short do some more damage if you are looking for optimization.
His Saky can even be more annoying

Threijay has M. Shrimpson match on lock. Just keep jumping around him since he doesn’t really have anti-airs. Although he can just st.fierce your jumping shenanigans if you get a bit too predictable. Also the teleport could slow down momentum from time to time. Still working on some things to counter the strategy though.

Good shit. It’s cool seeing a different approach on the Rog matchup. I use to swear up and down the matchup was 4-6, but this last month has been good
If I can stay out of the corner or step on your fingers before the match starts :-), I could probably do better.

The interesting part was ex Sobat causing crumple stun. Would be crazy if it were reintroduced in AE. But I guess that’s just a dream, because he would have a super easy ultra setup. At least we don’t have to mash punches for MGU.
Great vids, verify, the first rog was a bit lacking, I thought, he didn’t take a few opportunities to headbutt ultra and threw out a weird random U1, but the second match really made me re-evaluate my approach to rog.

Why is everybody so scared of EX crumple on Sobat? OMIGOSH Deejay would have an Ultra combo off an EX move. Stop being masochists. ITS OKAY. LOL. Look at the rest of the roster and the stuff THEY can do.

i learned how to do jab ex hands with honda so i wouldn’t mind the change.
as for deejay getting crumple on the ex that would be fair because he can only link it off 1 framers.
