The “shortcut” I assume he is referring to is the one which allows Dragon Punch “z” motions to be performed as df,df. Sometimes if you’re execution is a little off the game will interpret your input for the Ultra instead as df,df and you’ll get a snake strike after the FADC and not the Ultra.

How does that shortcut help you if you are TRYING to throw out an Ultra? You dont want to do the df, df because you are trying to do the Ultra off that FADC right? Your explanation would make sense if you were trying to throw a snake-strike and wanted to make sure not to throw an ultra or QCF move…
It doesn’t help, it’s annoying.
I gotcha he is saying he doesn’t like the new shortcut which means he isnt using it, which is why hes throwing out snake strikes. I am the same way 
I constantly lose matches throwing out a randomly wiffing snake strike when things get tight, darn Z movement just seems to always register.
This is pretty much what happens. I try and do Ultra right? So I do this.

Which would normally just give me nothing or be nice enough to super in other games. This game it gives me an EX Snake Strike.
Even when I do :qcf::qcf::3p: it will sometimes register as an EX Snake Strike (Used the show inputs in training.)
So in you actually need more precision than before haha.
I think he hit right in the sweet spot, or he just hit right as the blanka player stopped.
it’s a timing thing, you can beat blankas electricity out right as he starts it up with dive kick. you have to triangle kick though, so don’t do a super high overhead dive kick.
I believe I am right haha. I beat blanka’s electricity with dive kicks 75% of the time with this belief.

gburs, you’re all over the place man. You had that match, and i’m sure you knew that, but you did things like psychic j.rh way before dsp even got up. You also need to work on hitting those dive kicks, j.mk is pretty pathetic 
good shit though, I can’t say I hate DSP, but he’s really fucking annoying (to listen to)

the thing is against fei, his damn j.rk beat divekick, so i opted for my own j.rk’s/j.mk. that one point where i did two consecutive j.mk’s, and the c.lpXXsnakestrike… i think I just plainly effed up my execution
I still have trouble with walk forward, c.hp against blankaball. shit pisses me off
edit: now that i think of it, i think i did two consecutive j.mk’s assuming he’d jump back j.rk after the first.

Looks like you were having trouble with your Falcon kick execution (only watched first vid) and triangle kicks.
DSP is either very new to Rufus or SF4 as a whole if he was trying to punish the unpunishable in many situations there. Like wtf

my god dsp has the most annoying voice ever
DSP is jokes, hes a good player but to be honest his best videos is when he loses matches. lol hes always got something to john about weather its about lag or random shoryukens (Or other moves) that hit because its unexpected.
tbh. i think marn didnt play too well. his mixups were predictable and in the last round of the first match he didnt FADC into ultra after his ex messiah at 2:50. he did FADC to cover up for the blocked messiah at the end. but he dashed forward? aiya.
