That 7 hit combo in the second Marn video is sick.
So I watched most of MWC and it seems Marn won with Rufus, Boxer, and Sagat.
The final he won two games with Rufus, then switched to Sagat to win two more.
Also, another major championship won by a Rufus player (this makes 3) and still only 5 views at any given time.

Lol. You guys like that combo right? If I had him in corner and ultra, ultra after it is pretty sexy too. That combo is now dubbed the marn combo™, and it makes the combo almost 100% and no links necessary.
I lost with viper and won 3 straight (I came from losers… losing to actionhank lol), and new set I wanted to try something new because I was bored, and that’s why I used sagat.

I saw a bunch of other matches vs. a boxer where you tried and missed the combo (parts miss on a crouching boxer I think). It is indeed a crowd pleaser. You got some serious skills bro, especially considering you just got bored and switched around characters in the final. Congrats on the win.
He’s jokin. It’s an all link combo. There’s a similar combo in Rufus’ hard trial. I just stick to easy mode with c.LP c.LP c.LP c.LP EX Tornado.

It’s kinda like his hard trial 5. What makes it no links is because of the far st.lp with cr.mk. The cr.mk can’t be rapid fire canceled so it ends up letting you cancel into ex nado.

Marn is too good. Switching chars all over the place and pulling off flashy combos to please the crowd. Honestly, there are only a few people I want to win Evo. Mike Ross, Alex Valle, or Marn. But Marn has a slight edge at the moment.

It’s a nomenclature issue, when Marn says no links the things he refers to were introduced to me being called chains. No big deal.

I don’t know why you cross-posted these in the matchups thread, but it reminded me to post some feedback. The first thing I notice is, in the Balrog match, you tried to jump in to initialize your offense in a very predictable way, three times in a row. This is bad, as you got stunned and took some pretty nasty damage. Then you kept jumping in more, though he only successfully stuffed your jump in once immediately after the stun.
A big reason this happened was all your jumps were full jumps that could be seen a mile away. You cant do super low triangle jumps against Balrog all the time because his c. lp and his c. fp can anti-air even mid-height dive kicks. What you have to do is get in close enough to dive kick at an angle/speed combination that he can’t react to, and can’t beat with c. lp spam (if they’re bad enough to be doing that). Also use far standing mp against Balrog more, it’s pretty awesome as it can stuff dash punches a lot of the time, plus a fair assortment of his normals. Cr. fp can also beat non-EX dash punches if he’s far away enough, and generally put pressure on him to turtle, which IMO is actually what you want him to be doing.
I also noticed you did a FP GT near the start holding forward, this has given me moderate success but really only as a, “uhh, he’s spinning at me, what should I do??” situation. IF they try to dash punch it, the dash punch usually loses, but I bet a well-timed sweep punch from Balrog would stop those shenanigans.
