Yo Good Turnout…I was juiced battled back from losers to take 2nd FUK YEA!!! GG to everyone who showed

 great thanks for coming  dang those kids whooped everyone in Call of Duty 4 though :sad::sad::rofl::confused::sad:

Also another reminder on Feb. 29th we have
Street Fighter 2 AE at 4:00pm
Tekken 5 DR at 5:30pm

at PlayNtrade

$6 to enter per tourny

PlayNtrade address: 17780 hesperian blvd, San Lorenzo, CA.

Please tell everyone you can about our tournaments thanks.

 I believe it’s the AC 97.

I wont be able to make it there till 6pm, can U guys still add me for AE?

I’ll try my best to get there at 5pm

 honestly I don’t know the exact stop to get off at but when your on the AC 97 going down hesperian you pass chabot then once you pass A street it’s about 4 lights down from there. on your right side you’ll see a brand new mc donalds then a taco bell and a long strip of stores. more towards the end of the strip of stores is PlayNTrade. you’ve gone too far if you are passing the KFC (on the right) and popeye’s, wendys & the arco gas station (on the left).

I understand people have school and or work and often get off around 5pm but b/c our first tournament is early do to PlayNTrade closing at 8pm intead of 9pm like before it seems almost impossible to make it and I/we definitely understand that. The tournament is suppose to start at 4pm and our second tourny starts at 5:30pm. I’ll check with the other people that come there to enter SF2 AE and see if it’s ok with them to post pone the SF2 AE tourny till 5:30-6pm and have it run at the same as T5DR because we should have 4 tv altogether so it could work but if there is people that are in the SF2 AE tourny that ether don’t want or can not stay to enter the SF2 AE tourny around 5:30-6pm then they would have priority and we would start on/at the original time of 4pm.

Never mind I am not going be able to make it.

 thanks to everyone that came through yesterday:tup: SF2AE was cancelled but we got in a lot of good casuals though. As for Tekken 5 DR it was great. I placed 3rd :bgrin::karate::razzy: pretty good considering I’m pretty much a new B to the series and game but I had a great time.

Good News and Bad news

Bad news
GZR Nights! is canceled this week. Halo 3 FFA and teams were scheduled and so we have to cancel them this friday b/c the store PlayNtrade is having a 1 year anniversary or something like that so check the store out if you can it’s just that we can’t have a tourny there this friday .

Good news
GZR Nights! may have one saturday out of the month every month for GZR Nights! at a video game store in Union City called Game Crazy. I/we still have to work out all the specifics with them as far as wat we can do in there but so far it’s looking really good.
as far as the plan so far it seems like we’ll have a saturday tournament on the first saturday of each month during the evening like or around 6pm. hopefully this doesn’t conflict with any other tournaments in the bay area.

also as far as our first tournament we’ll have there will be madden b/c we have a high request for it and when we do it at the store they will let us use some of their resources like games b/c we as a club have only copy of madden at the moment so using some of their copies will help a whole lot.

as for the tournament in the month after april which would be the first saturday of may is to be decided.

 dang I’ve been busy with school but just a reminder tournies this week

on Friday April 11th we have
Virtua Fighter 5** at 5:45pm**
Soul Calibur 3** at 7:45pm
**at Chabot College.

the address at Chabot College in cafeteria:
25555 Hesperian Boulevard
Hayward, California 94545

 were going to change the cost per tournament to $5 + **$1.25 **cover charge = $6.25 total per tournament entry. basically the $5 is the straight pot and 3rd place gets some money now as well as a mystery prize and the cover charge gos to us for our anime convention on august 9th called Kin-YoObi con
we plan to instat this on friday (18th) . just keeping you updated :wgrin:

which console for VF5? and do we need to provide our own sticks?

 O it’s on xbox 360 and yes you should bring your own stick. we have 360 controllers and maybe one stick but that’s a maybe so definitely bring your own.

 YYYYEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! finally got the approval from Game Crazy in Union City so we have our first saturday tourny (april 19th) and it’s **MADDEN 2008 ** on the Ps2 starting at 4pm at game crazy. $10 please try to bring as many people as possible.

and we also got new flyers out as well so check it out.

Just a heads up for people reading this thread, whenever tourneys are going to be held at Chabot, I’m going to be trying to bring my PS2 with Arcana Heart. If you have anyone who wants to learn/play the game it’s the place to be. I’ll try to make it a lot more often than I have been in the past so I can spread word about this cool game.

I’m so down for Arcana one of these days
