O and PlayNtrade is holding a Guatair Hero 3 tournament on the 26th of Jan. which is this saturday at 3pm. first 15 people entering there tourny gets in for free and winner gets $100 store credit
how come tournament for MVC2 or any other fighting games doesn’t get store credit at PNT? It would definitely attract more players. I don’t mind paying $6 or $10 for the game entry, if the prize is $50 stoer credit or more at PNT.
:lol: I see wat your saying, they do have smash tounrys w/ 50-100 store credit. although PlayNtrade’s tournies on saturday are independent of ours on fridays b/c on friday they are thrown buy us Game-Zone Recreation:tup: and we use all of our own stuff and when they have theirs on saturday it’s thrown by the actual store playNtrade.
also this friday (Feb. 1st) is Virtua Fighter 5 at 3:30pm and Tekken 5 DR at **5:30pm

:lol: yes we do plan on holding more 3rd strike, CvS 2, GG:AC, Marvel vs Capcom 2, SF:AE tournies but 2 things.
1st :sad: well honestly not as many people have been entering CvS 2 and 3rd strike as appose to Madden, Smash, Tekken 5DR, Halo 3 and Gears of War. and that is exactly why. even though I love fighting games more than most of the games on there.:sad:
2nd so far all of our dates are at playNtrade now and playNtrade changed their hours so instead of closing at 9pm they changed it to 8pm so in turn we have to start our tournies at 3:30pm and 5:30pm as appose to the original times of 4:30pm and 6:30pm. but we also will be having dates at chabot as well and a new semister is starting up so we have to put in another request form to us to use chabot facilities and the school normally goes a bit slow with stuff like that so I really couldn’t tell when we’ll have dates at chabot again and when we get those dates at chabot we’ll put more games like Marvel,CvS 2, 3rd strike, GG:AC, SF:AE, ext. b/c 3:30pm and 5:30pm is hard for most players to make (especially players trying to get off work and come there from places like san jose) and when we have tournies at chabot our times there are normally 5:30pm and 7:30pm or 6pm and 8pm.
I’m hopeing this will happen sometime in MARCH so expect to see it around then.

:lol: :sad: do to time limits we can’t have both 2 out of 3 and double elimination. as much as I :lovin: smash b/c matches all together take too long (about 20mins for 2 out of 3).
so don’t expect both. we’ll probably do 2 out 3 w/o double elimination but while we’re there we will take a vote. :razzy:
:lol: we changed the start time for the first tournies every friday. so instead of tourny starting at 3:30pm it’ll start at 4pm. the whole GZR Nights will still be from 3pm-7:40pm though.:wgrin:
