"Game of Death" Iron Fist Combo Thread

I sometimes do j.:m: j.:h: j.:s: j.:m: j.:h: j.:s: into a ground combo.
The j.:h: or j.:s: have to be delayed can’t remember which right now.

the best air normal is j.H so if you hit someone at normal jump height with j.h, you can do the delayed S into an extended combo. so j.H, j.S, H, c.H, b+H, qcf+L, qcf+H, dp+L, otg, rekka, rekka, fof b+H roar

Hey, sorry to be a bother. I already posted this in the video page but I didn’t want it to go unnoticed by you lot who are actually working on combos. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was already widely known since I’ve only skimmed most of the threads but I was messing around and found a way to quickly rebuff chi just before executing a super.

Don’t know if this will help but try it in a few of the combos you use already that stretch chi pretty far and let me know if it helps at all. Thanks everyone for your hard work, keep it up I love all the technology so far!

Just wondering if you guys knew this but after you land the qcf M crumple, you have enough time to tag out to another character to continue the combo. I just tag into Wolverine lol.

It builds almost 2 bars and the most damage I’ve gotten so far is around 1,050,000 dhc’ing from fatal claw to volcanic roar.

yeah i was trying that with Spider-man but wasn’t really focusing on it because I was searching for matches while in training.

I do it a lot if I’m playing my Iron Fist/Frank West team, is a nice way to skip lvl 1 Frank West.

Anyone got some solo damaging IF throw combos?

There is always the backwards throw reset into full combo.

This is possibly the most optimal combo off of a hit confirm. Also there’s no use in using IF’s level 3 because FoF >SOD always does more damage. It only needs to be used to finish matches or for style points.

Verrrrry interesting. Very good stuff. And cancelling red chi into lvl3 immediately does do more damage, but as far as I can tell, it requires an assist to pull off, and just doing the two into DHC is probably more efficient anyway. So if you don’t have a good DHC option from Fist to your assist character, it might be something worth looking into.

It works with Spiderman. I’ve done it.

And like they said it really is too bad that the level 3 is useless. I think it should do 450,000. You can’t follow it up unlike Magneto or Rocket Raccoon.

No, wait, he can totally do it by himself. If you’re quick enough, you can hit the chi and the level three and have it land after a crescent heel. This gives him a 1mil solo combo. Sure, it takes three bars, but it’s over a million solo and without xfactor. This is good news.

the Power of Chi is not influencied by chi power booster, with or without the red chi, iron fist lvl 3 always do 400k damage

The guide is wrong about this. It just seems like it since the animation is so long that the chi usually runs out before the hyper hits. If you cancel chi immediately into lvl 3 and the hyper hits very quickly, it’ll do 480k. Try it out, it’s really not that hard.

I was almost certain that we established this sometime ago. Lvl 3 can be boosted an additional 80k with Red Chi. If you have trouble canceling the chi immediately into lvl 3, try doing Crescent Heel and input Red Chi early. Red Chi will come out regardless then you just do lvl 3. If you do it right you should hear the chi power up sound, NOT SEE the Red Chi animation, get 480k damage, and still see the red chi for a bit after lvl 3 finishes.

The Power of Chi is actually boosted by 80K if you cancel the red chi into it very quickly.
