just to clear something up with you guys. The reason you do qcf+L, qcb+L, and not the other way around is because qcb+L creates more hitstun than qcf+L and if you do it the other it may whiff on crouching enemies. So get into the habit of making qcf+L, qcb+L, qcf+M your bnb inputs. If you do it the other way you may whiff!

btw guys I’ll try to make a combo video when I have time. I’ve only seen one good one with IF, Spencer, and Doom. People love posting combos up without showing how much meter they build so don’t worry. I’ll include resets too, even though he really doesn’t need them since most of his basic combos do atleast 950k damage.

Some resets are worth it IMO, like after Fists of Fury reset with a jab, call Shopping Cart and dash, it will be hard to block and even if they do block, if the character has low health he will die because Iron Fist does a ton of chip.

yes of course! I only use that reset on enemies that have over 1m health like hulk…usually I don’t have a problem killing my target in one combo lol and if they barely survive usually they hard tag the next guy in which is another free combo. But you’re absolutely right. It’s important depending upon how much damage output your iron fist can do

A few questions/suggestions/clarifications… I always do the more damaging rekkas so I was wondering. After the jump rep when you do :qcf:+:l: and :qcf:+:m: rekkas, wouldn’t it be slightly more damage to do :qcf:+:l: and :qcf:+:h: because when the opponent’s in the air they both cause hard knockdown but M is 100k dmg and H is 115k (before scaling of course). And after the otg wouldn’t it be better to do instead of :qcb:+:m:, :qcf:+:l:, :qcf:+:h:, to do :qcb:+:m:, :qcf:+:h:, :qcf:+:m: xx into his hypers? I just ask because this is typically how I end combos with him. We practically do the same combo except it looks like you have the stronger beginning and I have the stronger end. If we put em together, HAHAHAHA! But hopefully it’s not because of scaling that you end it that way.

You know what? I’ll fire up my Mahvel right now and get back to you on that.

Edit: Okay, I thought there was a reason I didn’t switch it up. Long story short, you get less damage.

In the combo I posted you get 947, 400. You squeeze the last bit of damage out of the combo with the cr.:h:, F+:H: xx Spirit of the Dragon. When I tried the suggestion you posted, it did more damage than mine up to the point where you use the first hyper. Once I tried to go for the follow up, they flip out of the combo after the cr.:h:. So, I omitted the F+:h: and tried to do SOD after the sweep, no dice. Took the sweep out and did SOD straight after Fists of Fury and got 942, 600 damage.

One good thing came out of it though. Using your suggestion to do :qcf: :h:, :qcf: :m: after the OTG; I done the combo normally and replaced the last part with the suggestion and got 949, 800.

I’m new to Iron Fist and have some pretty basic combos down right now. What is the highest damaging solo 1 bar combo that Iron fist has? Sorry for being lazy I just didn’t feel like going through all the combos.

What is the most optimal combo to use if you open them up with Crescent Heel? I’ve finally started getting used to using kara-cancel rekkas to get around pushblock/stagger blockstrings, and its simple enough to get the regular combos off of a qcb.A rekka, however I haven’t gotten to trying to find anything fantastic if you open them up with the overhead kick. Does anyone have anything in particular?

Damn I’m still having problems with cr.h fd.h j.h j.s m h. I can do all of it but the standing mid never connects. I try to delay the j.s as long as possible and it still fails. Any tips

The j.S <land> s.M part is pretty instant in terms of timing. There shouldn’t be any significant gap there.

Try spacing out the timing between j.H (which should also be delayed a bit) and the j.S

Try to delay the j.:h: instead of the j.:s:.

Ill definately try that but by jump cancel, does it mean that I should hold up during f.h or how can I cancel. My execution on stick is getting very good so I think if I figure out the timing the rest is easy.

Lol yeah I’ve been delaying the j.H i just made a typo. Thx for all the help guys I think I have like 50 posts on this thread asking for help but in the end it’ll be worth it. By the way Gomu do you have any good midscreen combos, jwongs is pretty good but I can’t even try it without the notations.

I rarely land that combo in a place where I wont have them in the corner by the time I hit them with the second :qcf: :m:, so that combo is pretty optimal. Its really just muscle memory after a while so keep at it. Even if you start the combo far from the corner, you can wavedash a few times while they crumple to set up the spacing. Another option is to replace the second :qcf: :m: with :qcf: :h: and then go straight into FoF.

ya delay the H as long as possible.

and after crescent heal just do qcf l qcf h, super, etc.
or in the corner you can do qcf l, qcf h, qcb m > chicancel f. H os throw reset

This may be a silly question , but is there any way to convert off an air normal with this guy? Something like Spencer’s j.M, j.H, j.S into ground combo.
