Off topic, would anyone here happen to know the RGB color scheme of the post backgrounds? Not the background of the page, but the one the text appears on.
I know that it would be easy to find out. Press the Print Screen key, then go to Paint and paste that shit, then create a custom color and use the eyedropper tool. Voila.
Until just this moment, I had no idea what that tool did.
Thank you, sir.
That’s why I’m here. You know, it’s really funny. A lot of people have called me ‘sir’ lately. Since I’m not officially a chick, I don’t take offense to it or anything, but it’s led to a whole shitload of Peppermint Patty jokes.
Not “officially”?
wut?
Long story short, I’m a transsexual, and it’s led to some awkward conversation because I can’t keep my mouth shut sometimes. I was just commenting on the frequency of people calling me ‘sir’ lately because I figured everyone in this thread knew by now after the big hullabaloo a ways back. I’m not one of those people who are like “I FALL UNDER A SOMEWHAT NICHE DEMOGRAPHIC BUT I FIGHT FOR WHAT I BELIEVE IN! NOW TELL ME HOW GREAT I AM!!!”
I wonder how many people aren’t aware if your “situation,” Lobelia. Not to say that the word “situation” is demeaning, but I’m not sure how else to put it.
xD
I figured everyone knew at this point. Like, I’m not trying to shove it down anyone’s throat or broadcast it or anything, but if everyone knows, then I can joke about it without people being like “wait, what?”
Haha, okay.
If it’s what you prefer, then:
thank you, ma’am.
So anyways.
When most people are at Waba, where do they go for food? I usually hit up the Burger King nearby.
Yo eddie,
wanna take up my valle bet?? you know its fixing to go down.
There is that place with the chicken burrito supreme/surprise w/e. It was pretty good except for the waitress who kept using Tip cancel for some reason…lol Marty:rofl:
Didn’t “The Emperor” say that JWong wasn’t allowed to do anymore money matches? Anyway if it goes down, my money is on Valle. I feel sorry for all the NYC players who are going to lose their money.
I guess I’ll count on you guys to show me what’s good around there…either that or I’ll just hit up Burger King like I always did.
I was just playing Street Fighter IV online. My hardest matchups as Ken are probably Blanka and Balrog. There was this one Balrog I kept playing who lost to me every single time because of :lp: Shoryuken spam. I know it’s a scrubby thing to do, but…it was kind of working.
Vic’s pizza right next to waba is good as fuck…
Derek and I are having MMX mms sunday evening at waba so if you think you can handle the hype you can watch
I’m allergic to marinara sauce, but Mega Man X sounds hype as twice fuck.
I didn’t see this earlier. I’m aware of Guile’s weaknesses. They became painfully obvious to me when I first played SF4 over a friend’s house, and Lebron was also there. They were just jumping in on my Guile. You can hear a sigh of relief from them, because their mindless jumpins were working (as opposed to ST where they get flash kicked everytime for jumping at me). But I had been reading info about Guile in SF4, so I knew he was low tier, I wasn’t sure as to why, but it became obvious as I was getting beat by newbie jump-ins and crossups.
Since then, I’ve learned that there is nothing wrong with simply blocking looking closely at the block strings and tech throwing. Guile does have defense against crossups, it’s just a very limited defense where he has to kind of truly defend his way out of it. I guess he doesn’t have any real “beat all” options to get out of it. you just have to be patient, block everything and tech every throw. Simply more is required of Guile to get out of situations.
I believe Dhalsim b.MP stops crossups. And Dhalsim doesn’t have any wakeup attacks, but he does have his instant teleport back or reversal teleport which most of the cast can’t catch. He can also just ultra on wakeup if he has revenge meter. Though I honestly haven’t been using Dhalsim, because he takes time to practice and is very much an execution based character in this game. So I’ll work on Dhalsim when I get the game. I know what to do with him, just haven’t trained my fingers to pull any of it off.
Dhalsim and Guile are pretty much low tier in this game. Well Dhalsim is mid, but he’s still not really good or easy. But I prefer using them then more powerful characters like Ryu or Balrog. Since overall, I just have to be a little more creative, more cautious and make less mistakes. I know anyone should be playing that way anyway, but using more powerful characters can grant you a level of comfort. Guile and Dhalsim have all the right tools to get the job done, they just don’t have a shitload of great options easier to bring out like some of the upper tier. So it’s an easy solution, just don’t be too mediocore with them. And I do poorly at Waba weeklies, but I still like Guile, because he forces me to really learn to start throwing shit together on the fly and working for his damage. At least I have fun that way, and I think it’s beneficial in the long run I don’t get into a predictable way of playing.
branh jump on ggpo a3 right now im going to be playing
I can’t, I’m not at home right now, and the place I’m at has those ports blocked. Plus, I’m not exactly in the best place to be playing video games. I’ll be on when I get home around 5 or 6. My name on GGPO is the same as it is here on SRK. Not sure how busy you’ll be tonight, but hopefully you’ll be around for some games.
100 posts and counting until a new thread. GA seriously goes through threads like crazy
Anybody else want to side bet on Branh?
