More on the way
YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT… GOD DAMN IDIOT
Enjoying the vids, Iceman. Keep it up!
I’m interested in learning Soulcalibur IV, but I have no earthly clue where I’d begin. Where would I go to learn the most basic of basics?
I’m about to check those out right now.
Wait a minute.
This is the same guy that defended SCIV to the grave about a year ago when I first found the match-making threads when I was discussing the contrast between SCI and the SCIV. The one who got mad because I had played both titles quite a bit and had decided SCIV was trash.
That same guy is now asking how to pick up the basics of the game.
How the hell were you purporting to defend that game/your love of it and you don’t even know how to play it?
Not cool, Lobelia.
I just got Wily’s Fortress theme…stage 1, I believe, from megaman 2 stuck in my head.
Also, I’m about to watch an anime. My fingers are crossed.
Tech I wouldn’t take it too seriously. Lobelia is a very casual gamer, whose experience with game probably rarely goes beyond mashing a few buttons to kill a few hour of his day. I’m sure Lobellia just enjoyed mashing buttons in SCIV, but at this point he wants to learn how to do more than what he’s been doing. Not sure how he plays Virtual Fighter V, but I would assume it would be on easy mode with Vanessa or some female character. But don’t overthink the whole thing, it’s not that serious.
That 2 on 2 Govt. video was too strong. Marty getting rebounds like Charles Barkley.
I went to see what you were talking about, and I totally agree. Rewatching that finals match with this in mind changed my perspective a lot, especially when you compare it with the videos of Marn from the East Cost Throwdown:

Watching the Daigo vs. Wong video again after that really gives insight as to what play style Wong was going for, and what play style Daigo managed to shut down (that being total abuse of the dive kick):

Thanks, Iceman. I’d like to learn another game for when I need a break from Virtua Fighter 5. Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection sounds a bit more fun than Soulcalibur IV, but I have neither a Playstation 3 stick nor the money to buy one, so I’m shit outta luck.
Do I know you, Brandon?
Have we met?
Do you know my habits at all? Have you ever seen me play anything, ever?
The correct answer to all of those questions would be a sound ‘no.’ You don’t know shit. You like to make up stories about people who you think might be too good-natured to put a stop to it.
I’m sorry I’m too busy trying to get a job to meet at Waba every other day to suck at Street Fighter IV half as bad as a worthless piece of flaming dogshit like you. I’m sorry I don’t meet up to the lofty standards of the single most pathetic shit-talking bitch to post in this thread since half past forever.
One more thing.
"Virtual Fighter V?"
Have you ever played that game? I sure haven’t.
It’s been a full week folks, and it’s time for the Ale House Super Battle. This time around, we’re going to spend less time with a tourney and more time with fun exhibition matches. Tourney Layout–
Double Elimination Team Battle:
3 on 3 Team Battle!
Best 2/3 matches Double Elimination
Winner gets 15 dollar Ale House Gift card!
Exhibition matches will be going on on the second setup the whole time!
Feel free to call me in advance 904 382 7232 with your Team registration! Or just show up at 930-10pm for regular registration as usual. You must have 3 team members to enter!
This should be extremely fun, and also allow for more time for exhibition as the tournament will not take quite as long. See you all there!
Historian if you and your brother are planning on attending, I’d love to join with you guys =).
2 on 2 gov money matches were too hype!
A friend and I threw a tournament on our college campus a little while back. The turn out was nice for something this size. There were two projectors running the tournaments, and three televisions for casual play. Unfortunately, most people showed up for Smash Brawl and there was no real SF4 competition. Even still, it was a fun event. I finally managed to get a few of the pictures uploaded:

I think my favorite part of the night was when Zack proceeded to mercilessly beat up on people who probably previously thought they were pretty good at Marvel:

I’m in this one, preparing for my ass whippin’:

All in all, it was fun. I met a lot of new people and I think we helped generate more interest in the scene. I’m hoping to do a lot more of these next semester.
:wonder:
