I noticed the Waba weekly thread hasn’t been updated for this week. I guess Min has been so busy with other stuff it slipped it’s mind. I should be at Waba today is my ride comes through.
JTO is right here beside me. I am still at East Point. If it is about the Waba tournament thing, he said he’d like to come but he didn’t have a ride.

Well I’m back from Waba, ggs. I had a decent streak in casual SF4. I won’t brag about it though because I’m sure there were circumstances. But still, I think I did alright for someone who barely plays the game, and don’t personally own a copy of the game. It was only $5, so not too much of a loss. MetalMike totally out turtled me in the Balrog match. Though I don’t think Balrog is a problem, MM played the match really smartly so kudos.
I then lost to Terry, not sure if he's on SRK. But my fierce button wasn't configured. In either case, I made a few mistakes that cost me anyway. I think I would have got a few games if I could cr. Fierce which is essential for Guile. But you didn't jump in a lot, so you deserved that win.
Oh and Marvel casuals were hype. Steve and Zach totally scraped me. Feels like I was at Flippers again. Anyway, Zach is really stepping up his Storm game, she’s doing some really crazy shit. And that Chun-Li is definitely tight.
Anyway, I would like to thank DarkBallinJin for starting a car pool. That was nice of you. And his homeboy Dominque is just too funny. Anyway, GGS Waba. Hope to level up some more

i had a good time at WABA. i didn’t need to bring my lil ass plasma xD they had more than enough TVs. it was fun to get in some gg’s against some gp. everyone was pretty cool. i’ll probably end up showing up pretty regularly.

The Hawks won. Secondly, did you not pick Cammy against Brahn or was he just not ready? Lastly, 2 on 2 government sounds like a good idea. Did you get a copy of the game?
He picked Cammy against me, she was pretty nice. Mike has really good defense. Anyway, he beat me 4-1. I think I played decent footsies against him, but footsies were not enough to win against Cammy,. I underestimated her pokes big time and it cost me. I did better when I brought out Chun-Li (who I don’t use seriously mind you). I was able to play the game I wanted, since Chun has equal or better priority than Cammy. But at the end of the day Mike had superior knowledge of the game and was able to pull it off. I have the fundamentals down, but he jiust simply has more knowledge of the game in general.
My execution was off too. I really need to stop playing on pads, they suck.
I tried to warn you and tell you that his Cammy was pretty trill. Ah but did you listen? J/k. Anyhow typically at Waba most people wouldn’t mind if you borrowed their stick for a match, especially if they knew you were money matching. Next time I’d suggest asking someone if you could use their stick?
BTW: What are the results from this week’s weekly?
Yeah bout the Texas things im not really cool with Texas cats long story, but i would love to hang with T again but work is a problem for me and seeing that they wont have the real version of Tekken 6…:tdown::tdown: But good luck if you go…:tup:
Jason L, OmniSlash, and Eddie split. Jason L got first since he won the rock, papers, scissors match. So it appears that Jason L, OmniSlash, and Eddie are the 3 most consistent players right now. At least as far as Waba is concerned, which I assume brings out the North Atlanta crowd.
The turnout was great, there had to be at least 15 people there, which isn't bad for a weekly tournament.
Edit: East Coast Throwdown was really hype. I have to rep the East Coast, a little bias, can't help myself. I got the play by play on Alphaism radio. Seems like East Coast was able to effectively shut down West Coast. And it appears that East Coast is getting better in general, though West Coast still may be a little stronger, I know East Coast gave Ross and Gootecks issues. And they were put in losers by solid East coast players. So the East Coast is getting better. At least Gootecks and friends weren't able to run train on the East Coast like what happened at Sinsation. It does suck that Marn won. No disrespect, but I would have loved to see a NY native take it, and Marn is only a transplant from TX. Seems like Joe was unprepared for the Rufus matchup.
Anyway, I’ll pull for the East Coast until Evo time, where I’ll have to pull for the south east. I’m glad East Coast was able to keep hold down the tourney and not give it to some West Coast invaders. But I have to admit, Gootecks is hardly washed up like some people have been saying on podcast. He took out Arturo, which made me pretty sad (that guy helped out a lot on the Dhalsim forums). Hope Arturo levels up and takes Justin Wong’s crown.
