G.A.M.M.E. - Orlando, Florida - USA VS. JAPAN! $5000+ SF4, June 4-6 2010

type hype for words

Haha, I’d be lying if I said no. Pretty much. I’m a pretty big player on XBL but that’s it, so not really bothering with my name and all that.

I want to ask this question again since it wasnt answered the 1st time it was asked. =/

After watching this video of japan 09 mvc2 footage. Is there anyway they can get in contact with the players that are playing in the video or the best players that are still playing and invite them to this tournament. IRONIK & AR4MITH? It can be Japan Vs Usa in Sf4 & Mvc2. The hypest games as of right now…

Japan 09 footage? Ar4mith? Where is this? If it’s the Ar4mith I know that’s from Jacksonville, I’m highly intrigued.

I thought I answered this. Sorry!

We have quite a list of players coming that are in the MvC2 community, and a couple that were retired that are coming down as well. We actually have not sent any formal invites for any of those guys, but it can’t hurt.

The more Hype the better.

For me it is all about word of mouth as well. We post info, you guys talk about it in your circle of friends who happen to also play, I know Yipes and Sanford talk to their buds in their groups. I imagine Total and Fanatiq have mentioned us to others, and we have a decent bonus pot for this title.

if you guys know people that would be great competitors, get the word out!!!

if you are referring to more of a marquee match? pop me a PM, I would love to focus a few solid matchups for MvC2, although I have some ideas for some of the guys already coming.

Moadib,
Sorry if you have answered this before, but i have to ask since I have not seen this anywhere?

How much is the spectating fee?? Is this also the $25.00 general admission fee? Reason i’m asking is because i’m coming from Memphis, TN and might be taking my girl. If she decides to go then we are making this somewhat of a little vacation. Hence, she might be coming in an out of the Venue after roaming the mall and whatnot! Thanks in advance!

Spectating fee??? Oh god no…I could say something that would make fun of another event that went on recently that did that…but I won’t lol.

GAMME is a full Exposition, Event, Convention and Concert Tradeshow for the Gaming Industry & Community. We have a huge lineup of events, we have our admission fee (for most of you in the community its what’s called a venue fee i guess…)

Each game has its own $10 entry fee to compete (how the pot works is on the original post).

I have heard of events doing a “spectating fee” on top of admission fees…

we don’t do that.

If your question is geared toward a second person coming in with you, yes she will have to pay for the admission of the event. Our admission badges give access to the bulk of the conventions panels, events, and the Jamspace Concert Stage where we will have quite a few JRock Bands and Video Game Music groups performing.

sorry if this was already posted, but is the 5v5 going to be on the stream?

They shouldn’t :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree

new announcements and updates added to OP

Nemo one of the best if not the best Chun li player in the world has been formally invited to come and participate @ GAMME!

Get muthafuckin’ hype.

thats all that needs to be said

Are you guys also paying for their plane ticket + hotel? Because I was planning on preregistering online before the first deadline but now I’m having some doubts and might actually just wait until a month before or so.

An admission fee it’s not known to us “the community” as a venue fee(venue fees are usually tied to tourney entry fees), and if someone will just be watching the tourney its effectively an spectator fee, but you do offer so much more to those interested.

I think you should stop dissing active gamers, it just makes you look more like them than anything. They came out and tried to hype everyone with big guaranteed prizes and dissing other tourneys to make them look professional or what not.

I know you’re under new management and all but you guys could also be tied to some controversy, to me personally the fact that empire is backing you is the only form of legitimacy I see.

Oh! I apologize for that, I just realized because it was so recently that spectator comment could have been thought to have been ACTive, actually it was referencing a completely different company that is not around anymore…one of the first groups that ever charged entry to the event + entry per tournament and then if your hanging around in their “tourney” room, you get charged to be in there if your not competing to spectate.

I hope that clears up any misunderstanding. For us its about building a great event. We also do not hope to hurt or downplay any other groups we work to help as many of them as is possible.

Apologies again.

and with that, I go back to work.
