3DS is killing it right now and it’s only going to continue churning out quality so it makes up for the wii which had at most 10 GDLK exclusives 6 years. That’s a drop in the ocean of shovel ware.

Practically 90% of what you posted are just nintendo games. that’s what I mean when I said that people hate the hardware. You know when you buy a nintendo home console, you’re only doing it to play Nintendo games. You can count on like 3 titles to be non-nintendo. The rest are all first party. and that’s a problem for a lot of people.

I think the PSX is tied and the PS2 only wins because it made DVDs the standard as well as the first home console that was backwards compatable, effectively doubling it’s game library.
And no, the Sega CD and 32X aren’t kinda the same in comparison, that shit was dumb.

Yup since N64 till onward, if you buy a Nintendo console, first party is pretty much all you’re going to have. 3rd party software is of crucial importance for a system and drives hardware. Sure they’ll occasionally get a stellar game or two that Nintendo fans will try to champion like its a trend breaker, but lets be real fellas---- the lion’s share of great games from other developers are still missing in the end. Their absence undeniable.
And then there are some genres that are just going to be nigh absent altogether…like fighters. Seriously, any gamer who only had a Wii this generation has no business being on this site(unless they’re absolutely in love with Brawl or something). Again no offense to Nintendo fans just callin’ it like i see it.
And why don’t they have other people make games for them?

Well for one Nintendo hardware has sucked, and most developers just don’t want to bother with the headache.
N64= Kept cartridge format. Carts are super-duper expensive and barely hold anything compared to inexpensive CD-Roms and their wealth of storage. 3rd party developers not only have to take the bold task of cramming a large game onto a tiny space, but also taking a huge gamble that their stuff will sell since carts cost sooooo much more to make. If the game flops they lose big time with a ton of expensive, unsold paperweights destined for the bargin bin. Why bother when they can just develop for Saturn & PSX with their dirt cheap, high capacity CD-Roms? Even if the games don’t sell that well, they can still come out ahead easy because CD-Roms are so cheap.
Gamecube= Hardware seemed solid enough…but whats with those tiny discs? Nintendo being obsessed with gimmicks just can’t let it go, even their game medium is a gimmick. The small storage capacity made porting games difficult.
Wii= Its hardware capabilities are basically a slightly enhanced Gamecube. While loyalists might be tempted to trout the tired, “But Resident Evil 4 was beautiful!” remark. Sorry but RE4, like the gamecube before it, was LAST GEN material. With their console so very underpowered, developers would have to damn near remake games from the ground up like Skyrim and UMVC3 to make it work!
While there are certainly other problems i’m sure, Nintendo’s flawed hardware has no doubt been a contributing factor.
NES & SNES are tied about.
PSX was amazing, but in every way, the PS2 is much better. If PSX was batman begins, PS2 was dark knight, completely surpassing all expectations.
Sega CD was an excellent add-on that was just ahead of its time, and came about during the era when Sega was starting to suck hard in its business decisions also. So it got little support but still managed to have a tiny library of high-quality titles demonstrating what it was capable of in the end(It had MORE than just Sonic CD!).
Agreed, the 32X was an all-around idiotic move that should never have happened. Even as a Sega fanboy i can’t defend it.
I don’t get it. Nintendo consistently succeeds, makes money and every couple of generation dominates, but people still think they should drop consoles or that they are gonna fail.
Bottom line is they will still make great games, still sell consoles and still make truckloads of money.

MW games are almost all the same, there is nothing new in any of them, I still play MW3 but really it still has the same gameplay.
Demon Souls is maybe my Fav game on PS3 Though its too hardcore for most people.

Actually no, I wish they’d make third party games only. There are only two games ever that I consider perfect - and I have a lot of favorites - one is Third Strike, the other is Yoshi’s Island.
