I think gamers today are idiots, and think only games can be fun if they have lots of blood, drugs, and TandA. No one cares about gameplay any more.

“Not” is a pretty important word when put in a sentence. Sorry about missing that.
@ TheBladeItself You might want to not have all those vids quoted in your reply…
Edit:
I have at least 40 games in my Wii library. I got more than my money’s worth out of the system. Skyward Sword and Red Steel 2 pretty much proved that sword controls work and can immerse you into a game if there were any games that could easily justify Wii’s existence it’d be those 2. I also prefer pointer controls for FPS now because of Goldeneye, Conduit and Metroid Prime Trilogy. I still have games I gotta add to my library including The Last Story.
The only thing that disappointed me about the system was the lack of 3rd party support and when the 3rd party support was there the people responsible didn’t make their sales…cept Monster Hunter Tri and Epic Mickey.
I own all three of the current gen systems, and I can honestly say that the Wii has the most “fun” factor in multi player environment. Granted that I don’t play a lot of games these days aside from fighters, but whenever I feel like having a quick game I go to the Wii and challenge my sister at some old school Wiiware game.
It’s not that Nintendo makes bad games, it’s more of a marketing and character issue. Nintendo needs to look at itself and see if the status quo is still good for business.
No mention of Sonic Colours yet?
My grandma said she wanted to buy a Wii when she saw me playing it. In my head I was like, “Grandma. If you bought this, you would play it for 2 days and then you would let it sit there and collect dust.” The only reason why she wanted to play it was for Wii Tennis. She would shell out $250 just for something that could be done outside for free. Gotta love old people:rolleyes:
If they launch the WiiU at anything over $200 it will bomb. $ony and Micro$oft are smart in waiting for the economy to pick up so mom and dad and the 18-34’s have the expendable cash again. Releasing a new console during the 2nd great depression is retarded. And releasing a console that carries over the same features that the public are tired of is even more retarded.
Are you implying games with violent qualities don’t have also great gameplay? Not going to argue, just saying that this is a cop-out argument if there ever was one.
This very site owes its existence solely to violent videogames with great gameplay.
Sadly, this is the kind of shallow market that Nintendo aimed at. No doubt there are millions of Wii’s out there purchased by non-gamers collecting dust. Again, no offense to Nintendo fans, but the system was basically a fad with no solid gaming foundation to keep it afloat.
Nintendo’s consoles have nothing to offer me. Their handhelds on the other hand…
That’s what sells. Think about it though, we’d get more games like Madworld/No More Heroes/Epic Mickey if developers/publishers would stop being stupid and do stupid stuff-like making exclusive games if they’re third party. Throw in the motion controls for the Wii version if you want, but there’s no point in making console exclusives anymore unless you don’t want your game to sell. Insomniac Games split from Sony exclusivity because they make good shit, and it’s all been relegated to Sony systems. Konami did quite a few Silent Hills for the Wii only, Tecmo did a few Fatal Frames for the Wii only, Madworld Wii only…etc, etc. They could get a lot more exposure ditching the exclusives, especially if it’s all based around a gimmick control scheme.
Blade Itself, edit those fucking vids out of your reply, shit’s annoying.
Hmm… I might just buy a WiiU.
Until you realize most people hating on the wii can’t tell a good game from a shitty one and probably don’t own a wii, you’ll be stuck wasting your time trying to prove to people that the Wii had a fairly decent library and way better games than people want to give it credit for. All the while, these same people are busy buying shitty COD/Halo rehashes
These are the same people who were claiming Nintendo was gonna go bankrupt when they released the Wii.
Lol. The “public” being hardcore gamers such as yourself and most of SRK, right?
As a big time fan of Fire Emblem I would just like to say that game was awful. By far the worst Fire Emblem game to have come out in the west (maybe the worst period but I haven’t played all of the Japan-only games). Red Steel 2 and Muramasa are the two best examples for excellent Wii games.
Oh, and for everyone who hates motion controls, Muramasa is played with a Gamecube controller. An option that has always been available (shit, this was the standard for Brawl for crying out loud) but third parties were too stupid to use for the mot part.
Explain please. Explain how it was worse than the shit that came out on DS and dared call itself FE or how it was worse than 8, the game that threw the concept of limited EXP out the fucking window.
OK I will give you the DS games. I didn’t even bother with that claymation bull crap so I forgot they existed.
8 was fun. It was entirely possible to ignore Valni, something that I do every time I play the game. Meanwhile, I cannot ignore how Radiant Dawn completely removed everything that made it possible for me to give half a fuck if one of my characters dies. It also pretty much butchered the “surprisingly well thought out for an FE game” plot that Path of Radiance had.
Losing supports was my biggest gripe with RD. Plot was standard fare for a FE game honestly. The gameplay and difficulty is more what keep me playing it. Hard mode actually presents a challenge rarely seen in modern games and the game is hella long
Calling it “awful” seems quite harsh
I remember walking into my 7 Eleven once and I saw a bottle of Cherry Bawls, but didn’t give it much thought and just got the regular one. Then when I go back a few weeks later to finally try Cherry Bawls, they decided they weren’t going to stock it again.
FUCK

LIFE
If it wasn’t for homebrew and the easy ass hacking…the Wii would be worthless. People hacking Brawl and others games to make it a new game, hacking emulators and shit, reminds me of the days when every pizza place had a bootleg version of SF2 in their arcade cabs. Shoutouts to Rainbow Edition

wow you’re fucking idiot, thats why I have a PS3 and still play DC. You just proved how much of a dumb ass you are.
