Future of Nintendo? Bright.. or Dark

im getting it on Wii U because harada has shown he wants to allow people to customize his game (level design, face drawing/painting etc) why would I buy it on ps3 or xbox when online sucks for tekken anyway and there will be less options in both of those versions? sounds like you’re a stupid fan boy to me

P.s I love you

You’re buying it for FACE PAINTING? Are you six years old? Or really just clinically retarded? I have to know, it’s definitely one or the other now. There is no alternative explanation here.

Everyone who’s a Tekken fan already owns a PS3 and 360 and that’s the system they’ll all be playing it on. They’re all already backing the other systems so only the most dismal minority of idiots will buy a Wii U just for this game.

Considering this E3 I say dark times are ahead for nintendo.

fixd

But having less competition does not solve that issue. If you want Online gaming, you go Xbox… if you want Uncharted, or something… you go PS3… If you want Mario, you get Nintendo. Less competition has ALWAYS meant that third party developers will get shafted, and you will start seeing the ACTUAL companies that matter (i.e. the developers) start to suffer for it. Sure, your EA’s and CAPCOM’s will be fine… but the other developers will go for the market that appeals to them most. If they want their game online-focused, they will go to Microsoft first… etc.

Also, I don’t get offended on the internet… that’s a HUGE waste of time

Well… there was Nintendo and Sega, and Atari until Jaguar imploded, and in the 80’s and 90’s there was the Turbografx. In the 90’s there was CD-i and 3DO etc… there really hasn’t ever only been two companies. There was Nin/SEGA/Sony until early 2000’s when XBox showed up to replace Sega so for over a decade now we’ve had 3 major competitors or more in the industry. The point still remains. More competition is rarely a bad thing. If my use of “single” console is so offensive please insert “two consoles only” and my argument remains. You sound like you should give up console gaming an switch to PC only.

If you’re going to make an argument that there is insufficient market for 3 players I think you would be mistaken especially since the market is so much larger now then when it had more companies making consoles.

Future of nintendo? 7.5 FPS in 4 player games:lol:

All CryEngine 2, UE3, and FrostByte 2 games run at 30 fps on 360 and ps3 already.

Yeah but there’s a huge difference in having a controller be the cause of a drop in fps rather than the game already starting out at 30 FPS.

well im not a deluded young man with no family members who are young and might want to have an incentive to learn the game and have fun at the same time

you have been in the world of xbox for too long. I woud love to hear the games your so obsessed about. not many of them are fun anymore and if video games are your main source of intellectual stimulation then you might need to review a few things

I might not be getting tag 2 on ps3 because the community is barren, nobody communicates. if nintendo are making it a priority on their console then why the hell woud I want to go on a ps3? because other people in the OFFLINE TOURNAMENT community are training on it offline on their ps3’s? you’re a troll and if your not a troll then I feel sorry for your Mama!

i heard mk2 on super iz gunna have blood.

snes didnt have blood, megadrive did to compete with snes graphics.

Only the first one, MKII had blood in both.
MK1 GE Bloodcode: ABACABB.

So.

Uh.

Hmm.

Nintendo E3 conference was uh… yeah.

I havent been watching, whats exciting about the sony and microsoft side?

im looking forward to DUST514, I need more sharpshooter compatible games

Exciting doesn’t really describe it. Technically impressive? There is a lot of that going around. Microsoft is promoting a bunch of dumb crap for the dashboard that means nothing, Sony has their lame Smash Bros clone and Wonderbook sandbagging their set, but holy crap.

Nintendo came out dressed in fuzzy pink slippers and proceeded to play duck duck goose with a bunch of toddlers with the loser having to do everybody elses hair, all while they laid on the floor with their chins in their hands, kicking their feet, and blowing bubbles.

See: Lame kiddie shit.

in my honest opinion Nintendo appealing to kids is fine, they’ve added support for adults to enjoy it more, well actually support for adults has always been there on the wii, they have support for teenage type gamers now.

I don’t know, I think there’s no point in talking about all this now. sony and microsofts games are akin to those hollywood films that appeal largely to the simple minded. I actually LOVE hollywood films but there is so much trash out there it’s hard for me to back them up in my circles, I’m encouraged to be embarrassed about it actually. I would prefer if gaming grew up to be honest, me being interested in child development and other scientific fields Nintendo interests me, sony and microsoft are making junk food.

theres not really any arguement here, all im saying is as long as you talk down about nintendo you are actually talking down about gaming itself and it’s growth.

Nintendo showed Pacman/Bomberman hybrid and called it Luigis Mansion Multiplayer.

They showed a shooting gallery game with wooden ninjas.

That has nothing to do with science or child development, and everything to do with making extremely accessible games that anybody can pick up and play without any thought.

So, basically, remove the explosions and the blockbuster aspects of games like The Last of Us, Halo 4, Call of Duty, and you are left with Nintendo Land.

Yes they have a game called Nintendo Land.

if this is what gaming should be all about then it isn’t gonna last very long

Not sure what you mean by that, maybe you mean us gamers and not the gaming industry.

Things have never been brighter for them ever since they have found this beautiful way to make us spend more money even after actually buying their games.

As long as we don’t react by still buying their stuff over and over we, the gamers, will be the ones stuck with this all bullshit about social media/associating console with your handheld devices/motion control/voice control that not only Nintendo seem to be doing now.
