well i dont play party games, and I rather have 1 nunchuck over 3 more controllers to play party games
It’s not a matter of what might kill Nintendo, I’d rather just see them take a bullet on behalf of gamers and not do another console…
3DS will have/has 2 Monster Hunter games (3G and 4) and 2 Shin Megami Tensei related games (Devil survivor, with SMT4 being recently rumored).
LOL@Devil Survivor.
That game was so ass.
SMT4 is legit shit, but I’d rather have P4:The Golden than SMT4, also, considering how Atlus and Sony rolls, a really cool SMT will hit Vita.
If you were Iwata, sitting up there on top of Nintendo mountain in their position (still a very good one as of now) would you ever consider such a thing? Be honest here. Creatively or business wise how does one make the case that this would benefit Nintendo? Businesses are nearly outlawed via shareholder rights and obligations from “taking bullets on behalf of customers”.
The peeps who bought 3DS? Just hazarding a guess?
I actually got it from my folks, who seemed to have misplaced the nunchuck and managed to damage the sensor bar before it stopped functioning completely. Good thing I bought a CC, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to use my Wii at all.
There’s party games and then there’s multiplayer games. I can’t see games like NSMBW, Return to Dreamland, and Marvel Alliance being much fun alone; I have PSN and XBL if I want to play by myself on a console.
What it was? It was a game with great aesthetics. Once you get past that it is essentially the worst Kirby game ever. There is no challenge whatsoever. you can literally hold right and jump sometimes and come off a winner.
Bummer.
I guess if you do want to use Wii at more than 20% capacity you will have to get a chuck and sensor bar. Otherwise it’s like playing 360 with one stick busted. There are a handful of games that do use the Wiimote beautifully so it may be worth the investment. Besides, can’t play Muscle March without the chuck!
A light, heart warming title that was pretty creative.
And best of all, fun.
It was simply fun.
well think about this new PS3 games and new 360 games can be around 60-100 plus if you get the limited ed also. Most wii games are not that much, muramasa the demon blade is one of the best beat-up, rpg style games ive played in a long time, zak and wiki is worth it also.
Until you realized you were in no danger then it becomes… work.
I never thought that being in no danger=/=no fun.
Katamari was fun with no danger, DDR is fun with no danger.
DDR is fun because you dance around like a moron. Also you can fail out the song.
Katamari is fun because… well I never played it so what do I know. I think I saw a timer though.
You can put DDR to a no fail mode, same with rock band.
Sometimes you just want to feel warm inside, sometimes you just want to smile, and Kirby’s Epic Yarn did exactly that.
Again, you still have to exert some kind of energy, there’s a physical skill involved with those, not to mention enjoying the licensed tracks which is completely unrelated to the game part.
The sense of achievement is non existent. Especially since when I was a kid I had Kirby’s Dreamland 2. That game had kick ass music and KICKED MY ASS. When I beat it, I felt like the fucking man. The new game comes out and makes it so you can run to the right and NEVER lose. What is the point? It’s like watching a movie or play without conflict.
I only play rock band with my friends, I only play drums though.
The point is the fun you take just soaking the game in.
You want a game where accomplishment=fun.
And that’s fine, but that’s not what Kirby’s Epic Yarn is.
It was playing the game=fun.
Some people REALLY REALLY like Solitaire… just sayin.
Solitaire takes half a brain.
EVERY game is based on accomplishment=fun. In some way or another. This game tries to make you feel accomplishment with the real estate BS but being a long time Kirby fan, real estate had to be the worst idea ever implemented in the series.
Beside the point. You’re debating with that other guy that Epic Yarn was a poor game because it wasn’t hard. Games can be played and enjoyed regardless of challenge. So I pointed out an incredibly basic game that takes no real dexterity of mind or body to play and win. It’s also a game that a lot of people (usually ol’ farts) like to play. So just sayin…
